"Y/n? Y/n Open your door! Quick!"

My eyes shot open and I heard a loud knock from my door. I run my way to open the door and saw my neighbor who I stole their ladder from..

Mrs. Hye and Mr. Hye

"O-Oh! Good morning!" I bowed but didn't smiled since their faces were not happy. I think they knew..

"A-Are you fine? Get over here!" Mrs. Hye hugged me. What's happening?

The married couple would always treat me like their own daughter since their one and only daughter died in an accident.

And I'am friends with her but since the day she died her parents started looking after me. They would always invite me to a dinner or just simply hang out with me

Just like what they're doing with their own daughter.

"What's the problem?" I asked in a polite tone.

"A thief snuck in your room using our ladder! Did the thief hurt you?" She twirled me around

I was about to run back inside when she stopped me "Don't go there! Just wait for the police"

Ughh, I should've look through the windows very hard! Now there's a thief that sneaked in my room where Taehyung sleeps!

"Good day, Mr. And Mrs.. ?" The police got out of their car and asked the two couple "Hye" Mr. Hye answered

"What's happening here?" The officer looked at the ladder that connected to my room and to the shattered window

"Our ladder was stolen from our backyard and the thief broke in her house, We don't know what time but we saw our ladder there and saw the broken window. " Mr. Hye explained while Mrs. Im was comforting me

I should've placed the ladder back.. That just gave the thief an advantage..

"Are you the owner of the house?" The officer looked at me "Ms?"

"Y/n, Park Y/n."

He wrote that down "Did you heard any glass being shattered?"

"N-No.. I was sleeping down stairs"

"Did you heard any other noise from downstairs?"

I shake my head "The thief is still in there, Please arrest him!" Mrs. Hye pointed to my room

Two officers grab their gun out and went inside my house quietly. I want to follow!

"Oh darling.. Do you want to go get a coffee first in our house? Jung Seo and the officers will take care of that thief" Mrs. Hye looked at her husband and he gave her a nod

"Dress Y/n up and meet us in the police station"

We went inside their house and it's still the same. The furniture's weren't even moved and their daughters pictures were still on the wall.
