It is the most beautiful car. Drives like a dream and is suited up with an amazing speaker and stereo system. Bluetooth and all. My dream car, and here I am, driving it. Colby films me for his video to come out next week, which he'll be chopping together with the leading up to the surprise car and vlogging the surprise party. After dropping in at my place, our Uber is there to collect us. I assume we'll both be drinking tonight, considering it's my 21st, and I will not be going anywhere near my beautiful new baby tipsy. In the Uber, he plays back to me the clips of finding the car and everyone who helped pay for it coming to see it. Literally all of my friends I've made since starting YouTube. The ones he introduced me to four years ago. David, Liza, Tana, Kian, JC, Toddy, Scotty, Kristen, Franny, Bobby, Jake, Sam, Elton, Corey, Shane, Grayson, Ethan, Brennan, Heath, Zane, Jeffree, Jenna, Gabbi, Mykie, James. Even ones from the UK I haven't seen since I've been there last- Joe, Zoe, Jack, Finn, Jack, Connor, Dan. Even my celebrity celebrity friends- Paris, Kylie, Kim, Khloe, Brendon, Pete, Colson, Mattu, G-Eazy, Halsey, Harry. Literally every single one of my friends have chipped in on this. It's been in the works for a couple months. It's enough to bring me to tears. Oh God I'm so emotional. He pouts, hugging me to him.
"Awe, baby. You may wanna save those tears."
I tilt my head back, blinking to make sure my eyes don't overflow and mess up my makeup. I scoff
"Please don't tell me I'll be crying again. It's gonna be bad. I'm going to be drunk."
He giggles
"That's the whole point."
I kiss his cheek
"Colby... I can't believe you've done all this."
He rolls his bright blue eyes, even bright in the dark car
"It would have been better if you left the party a surprise, but you deserve it. Someone should have done it for you ages ago."
I cuddle him, as he adds
"Then again, I'm glad nobody has because it makes me look like a great boyfriend."
I giggle
"You're the best boyfriend there is or ever was Colby."
The car stops in a random dark road. I look around through the window, leaning in to whisper to him
"Is this where our Uber driver tries to kidnap us? Am I going to have to film a story time after this?"
He chuckles, shaking his head as he puts his mask on over his mouth, voice muffled by it
"No, you're safe. I got you."
He takes my hand, and opens his door
"Let's go enjoy your night baby."

We're walking for a good few minutes, the scenery doesn't seem to have changed. Trees and darkness. I can hear the ocean nearby, leading me to believe we're in Malibu. No houses around us though, but a road we walk down. A bit of an incline up a slight hill. As we get closer to our destination, I assume we are, he disclaims
"They think I've told you I'm bringing you here on our way to a Halloween party to get cool photos, so don't forget to act surprised."
I smile, turning to face him and walking backwards
"You know I'm first and foremost an actress."
He asks me, what I say prompting the question
"Are you doing anything to do with that still? I've noticed you haven't really been auditioning recently."
I shrug, explaining
"I haven't for a couple years. YouTube took over. I just got in a routine, you know."
He brings me closer to him, arm slung over my shoulders as we walk
"You should start auditioning again. You'd kick ass."
I smirk up at him, turning my head
"You think so?"
"I do."
"Well I trust your opinion."
He pauses our walking, whispering
"We're here."
I look around, realising we're finally in front of the only house in the area. It's white, but old. Grown over with trees. It's huge- a mansion. It's nuts. I ask, craning my head back to look at it
"What is this place?"
He shrugs
"Just an abandoned place Sam and I never got around to exploring."
I chuckle
"Oh God... how do we get in."
He takes my hand again, leading me up the front porch steps. He jumps up on the fence on the edge of the porch, hoisting himself up onto the balcony on the level above us. I call up at him
"I think this is starting to become more than I signed up for Colby!"
He laughs, and I throw my shoes up at him, then handing him up the camera. I follow what he did, getting up without hassle. Thank God I'm agile. We then climb over the fence and through a window that looks like it had been boarded up and kicked in. Passing the shoes and camera back and forth between each other to make the climbing easier. Before my bare feet can hit the ground inside the window, Colby places my boots back on like Cinderella before helping me down from the sill. I ask him in whisper as I stable myself on his shoulder
"Did everyone have to get in through there?"
I notice the camera on again, and he picks it back up as he informs me
"No- I just wanted to mess with you."
I narrow my eyes at him. He chuckles, explaining
"We could get in through the back but we'd have to walk through the forest to get around there and I assumed you wouldn't want to do it in heels."
I scoff, indicating to the window we just came throw
"Because that was so much easier..."
Laughing, he reaches for my hand again
"Come on, stairs are this way."
It's a legit mansion. Two curved grand staircases on either side of the wall heading down. The black metal railings designed with florals and the steps made of white marble. This place would have been worth a fortune. It's dark and silent downstairs, leading me to believe the party is out the back. However, the big glass windows looking out into the back yard are seeable right through the house thanks to the open floor plan- nothing. Only lit by What looks like a thousand candles lining the walls. Where the hell is this party? As soon as we hit the halfway point down the stairs, fairy lights and Edison bulbs strung around the place flick up and a Dj booth starts flashing neon lights, smoke machines and pumping music. The lighting revealing a complete level packed with people, most I recognise, some I don't. Either way, they all yell
"Happy birthday!"
I gasp, clapping a hand over my mouth and grabbing Colby's sleeve with my other hand. I knew it was coming, but I'm still surprised. It's amazing! I don't know why I was expecting any less- he's gone all out for me today. Inside is decorated with countless candles and lights and various pumpkins. Smoke machine, what I hope is a lot of fake spiderweb, vases of dark roses, fake skulls, crystals. Very glamorous witch themed. Very me. Of course it's smushed together with birthday decorations. Black and silver balloons, happy birthday helium balloons, a big 21. I exclaim to everyone
"Oh My God! Thank you. This is the sweetest thing."
Brennan calls up
"Whatever! Come legally drink!"
We head the rest of the way downstairs, beginning the greetings of everyone. I thank everyone for the car too, and for coming. The funniest thing about influencer parties are the number of cameras always out. Whether it be professional ones or just phones, theres alway videos begins shot and photos being taken. I take at least a hundred photos with almost every person before I can even make it to the bar set up in what would have been the kitchen when this place was in its prime. The kitchen is filled with booze. Any alcohol you could want. We kick start with a tequila shot, I've discovered in recent months that Colby can't do tequila, but does it for me since it's my birthday and he knows I love it. We end up just grabbing a full bottle of Jack and heading onto the floor. They've had my favourite fast food cater- Chipotle. Pyramids of burritos sit upon tables, piles of quesadillas and rows of tacos. All different fillings. Along with that is a donut wall full of original glaze Krispy Kremes- my favourite. And if that wasn't enough, witches cauldrons full of candy corn, various chocolates and candies, Oreos. And of course- a giant three layer hummingbird cake with cream cheese frosting and incredibly sexy Halloween themed decorating. Black drips down the side and white roses over the cream cheese frosting under it. The Dj is playing all my favourite music, classic RnB, classic rock, alt, punk. All my favourite foods, music, and people in one place. It was hilarious too, everyone gathered around the kitchen trying to film my first legal consumption of alcohol. Soon, a bonfire is lit out the back, and people spread from inside to hanging out in the spacious backyard. It's the best party I've ever been too. And I don't think I've ever gotten so smashed to fast.
