I grab for my keys on the nightstand, Kian stirring and leaning up
"Rey?"
Goddamn.
"Hey, Ki."
He sits up
"You okay? Where are you going?"
Moral debate. Tell him I'm going for a Taco Bell run, or tell him I'm going to bail my ex out of jail. Taco Bell he'll most likely want to come, and I doubt very much he'll let me go bail Colby out on my own either. Besides, Colby and him are friends. I'm not sure about that since we've been dating, but they have been in the past. Honesty, it's always best just to be honest.
"Colby just called, he's been arrested and needs me to bail him out."
Kian stands from the bed
"Really? Crap, okay. Go. Do you want me to come with you?"
Moral debate number two. Tell Kian to come, risk Colby being hurt. Or tell Kian not to come, possibly hurt Kian. Given my circumstances, being in a real relationship with Kian, I need to ensure we're okay. Which means inviting him would be the best thing to do here. Besides, Colby hasn't spoken to me in over a month and now wastes his one phone call on me and expects me to run to his rescue. No- Kian can come. I chuck him his shirt
"I'll be in the car."

We head to the station, and I walk in, Kian deciding to wait in the car. I tell the front desk
"I'm here for Colby Brock."
"His bail is set at one thousand dollars."
I slide an earlier prepared chunk of cash over to them, stating
"Get him out now."
"Yes Ma'am."
I wait for him in there, pacing like a lunatic, for twenty minutes before he emerges from out the back.
"Colby!"
I exclaim, rushing up to him and assessing him for damage. His wrists are a little red from the cuffs, but he looks otherwise okay. I pull him into a hug, not caring that he's forgotten me for over a month in the moment. He happily hugs me back, and I hate how fulfilling it is to have him in my arms again. I take his hand, hauling him out behind me
"What the hell did you do?"
He shrugs
"A misdemeanour."
I pause our walking outside of the station
"What misdemeanour?"
"Drunk in public."
I pause, trying to hold back my laughter. He laughs to
"What?"
I clap, chucking
"Of all things, you get down for being drunk in public! Colby, you're better than this! You're a felon!"
He laughs, explaining
"Brennan and I spent the afternoon day drinking, he stopped but I got reckless."
I raise an eyebrow
"How?"
"We we're playing darts, I almost hit someone, they got mad. I almost got in a fight."
I ask
"Then shouldn't he have been the one to get arrested?"
He shakes his head
"He was naturally aggressive. I was just more drunk so they assumed it was the punk ass drunk teenager."
I sigh, touching his face
"You good now though?"
He looks over my face, smiling
"I am..." he clears his throat, and steps back from me, voice changing "I mean, I've been in there since six so I've sobered up now."
I turn to see what caused the change of mood, Kian. Hopping out the car and walking over to join us. When he gets here, he claps Colby brotherly on the shoulder
"Hey brother, you all good?"
Colby nods, acting the same way they always have
"Yeah, I'm sweet brother."
Kian indicates with a jerk of his head
"Come jump in, we'll take you home."
And we do, via a Taco Bell. It's a weird drive. Anyone would think nothing had changed. The fact these two are now Eskimo bros not appearing to make any difference. I mean, Kian is a good actor. And Colby is good at hiding his emotions. Eggshells, everywhere. It's not awkward, and that makes it awkward. Knowing both of these guys well I know it isn't just me feeling it, we're all just ignoring it. All just good old pals. We drop Colby back at his apartment, and head back to Kian's and return just how we were. Without discussing it at all. Up goes a wall, and we go to bed.

"Laskiiii..." Kian whines and pulls me onto his lap, still typing away on my laptop "please come with me tonight."
It's been a week since I bailed Colby out, and as sweet as it is, Kian has been ever so slightly more... I wouldn't say clingy. I wouldn't say possessive either. He just is going ham on the fact we're together and wants everyone to know it. We've just passed one month together, it's gone fast. It's different than how it was with Colby. I knew I was in love with Colby from the very first time I looked into his eyes. I do love Kian, the feeling is there, but it isn't the same as what I had with Colby. A different kind of love. It doesn't have to be a bad thing, every person is unique, so it make sense every pairing would be different in their own ways. I tilt my head back to kiss his jaw
"I have to work, Kiki."
It's quite obvious I have to work, we're sitting in my trailer. I'm in costume. We're filming the last few scenes and they want to go through the night and see if we can knock out another one ahead of time. It's hilarious, taking a break from one job and answering emails. He pouts, kissing my shoulder
"It's not fun without you."
I giggle, closing my laptop and turning to him
"Maybe if you have another drink on my behalf it would be."
He smirks, inquiring
"Jack and Coke?"
I grin
"You know it."
He moves me beside him, and stands, holding my hand
"See you tomorrow?"
"Of course."
He kisses the back of my hand
"Have fun, Kitana."
I wink
"Back at you."
