There are only 3 weeks and 4 days until prom and you still have not been asked to prom nor have you found a prom dress.  On the other hand, your best friend Maddy has already been asked to prom.  Her boyfriend that she has been dating for a year had this giant promposal for her and you are currently at Maddy's house helping her find a dress. 

•Y/n's POV•
Y/n: C'mon Maddyyyyyyy ! We have literally spent hours searching for dresses. Can't we just take a short break?

Maddy: Okay okay fine, but only because your little puppy face kills me.

You shouted out loud "yay!" and started jumping up and down clapping your hands like a little child. You and Maddy both walked downstairs to her kitchen to grab a snack, then went and sat down in the living room.

Y/n: let's play something

Maddy: okay what ?

Y/n: um ... how about truth or dare

Maddy: pfft .. childish but mkay

Y/n: i wanna go first !

Maddy: okay okay whatever makes baby y/n happy. truth or dare

Y/n: first of all .. i AM NOT a baby and to show you i am not, i choose dare

Maddy: ur a baby in my eyes hehe *blows a kiss* um .. i dare you to give me your phone and whoever i choose, you have to ask them to prom

Y/n: ARE YOU CRAZY ?!? knowing my crazy wack best friend .. you'd probably go over and beyond and somehow find a way to choose frickin Abraham Lincoln if you could

Maddy: hehe thanks for the suggestion .. now pass it

As she said that, she motioned her hand out for you to pass your phone to her. You groaned, but still passed it over to her. She scrolled through your list of who you were following on Instagram.

Maddy: nahh. nope. cute, but no. nope homeboy looks double our age so of course no. AHA BINGO !!! I FOUND THE ONE !

She was jumping up and down, running around the living room like she just won the lottery which made you kinda scared on who she chose. You chased after her and snatched your phone out of her hand and saw that she had clicked on Josh Richards' profile.

Y/n: Maddy! You know darn well he most likely won't answer so there's n—

Maddy: young lady don't you try getting your way out of it now

Y/n: ugh!! fine !

You went to the dm section and clicked on Josh Richards.

You showed Maddy the text and she had a smirk on her face, but you rolled your eyes and ignored her.

Y/n: he won't answer .. he's probably gonna still be on tour the day of prom and like he's rumored to be dating someone and he also probably has a busy schedule and-

Maddy: *chuckles* wow .. sounds like someone has been kept up to date with Josh Richards' .. maybe someone is in love .. ouuuu

you threw a pillow at her and chuckled

y/n: i am not in love .. how could i possibly in love with someone i don't even know in reality?

Just then, your phone went off *ding* which made both of y'all jump .. you checked your phone and it said ..

Instagram Josh Richards has sent you a message.

You and Maddy both stared at each other.. what could he possibly have said.. is he going to say yes or reject you nicely .. all these questions popping up in your mind..
