Chapter 13- Never Gonna Let You Down

Loki and I were in a room on the ship the Asgardians were using. It wasn't that far from Thor's room, and we had our own privacy.

However, I still felt awkward after what happened down in the vault. Loki's presence made me feel oddly... lost. But Loki wasn't in the room and I was laying in bed alone while he went talk to Thor about what happened and about keeping the Tesseract safe.

It wasn't until late in the night when Loki finally joined me in bed. He was laying still behind me when he finally asked, "(Name), love, are you awake?" I kept my eyes shut, pretending to be asleep. He had barely said anything since Ragnarok and I hadn't done much to initiate a conversation with him. I wanted to keep seeing him as this loving person. If he had changed because of the Tesseract... I didn't want to see him any differently. I was afraid for him to return to his dark ways. I flinched when he wrapped his arms around me and he sighed. "Why are you ignoring me? Have I done something?"

I shut my eyes tighter, pulling the sheets closer in my clenched fist. I couldn't hold back a shake. His arms tensed around me and he asked worriedly, "Are you hurt?"

I took in a deep, shaky breath. "I'm fine." Damn. My voice cracked.

He turned me over, finding my eyes tear-filled. His eyebrows furrowed. "What's wrong?"

I wrapped my arms around him, hiding my face in his chest as I sniffled. "I hate how you are with the Tesseract. I love you and I don't want anything bad to happen to you."

He smiled softly, holding me closer. "I promise everything will be okay. Thor believes the Tesseract will be safe with me. Won't you trust me, love?"

"That look in your eyes scares me," I admitted too quietly.

"I was afraid," He admitted equally quiet, placing soft kisses against my head. "We started Ragnarok, (Name). I needed to protect you no matter the cost." I looked up at him. "Do you understand?"

So he was being like this for my own good? I looked down before slowly nodding, and pulled his head down for a kiss. I was breathless, leaning against his shoulder when I finally pulled away. "Tell me you'll always be my Loki."

"I will always be yours, love," His lips met mine once again as he laid over me.

We broke apart once again and I panted against him. "Let me be yours now. Take me again."

His lips locked against my neck as his hands began to remove the clothes covering me. "You're always mine... and I'll remind you as often as you need."

I cried out as his hands praised me. "Loki, st-ah- Stop teasing me!" So he took his clothes off and indulged in my request, drawing sounds of love from us. We stayed up all night, gently touching each other and bringing each other to the limits of pleasure.

The next day was when I found out we were going back to Midgard. I promised I would protect Loki from those who disliked him, but apparently, we wouldn't deal much with the Avengers and other spiteful humans. Thor made it clear that we were going to build a New Asgard right where Odin had passed.

However, I was surprised at the attention we got when we first arrived in Norway. It was insane how world-wide our arrival had been. The Avengers and others of different world classes had even shown up to discuss our refuge on Midgard. It was all too complicated but I was thankful when everything was finally settled- despite the fact that we had to talk Doctor Strange into understanding that Loki had no psychotic or homicidal urges.

But we finally made it to our new home where we immediately began making a new Asgard! It wasn't as gold and glorious as before... but it was every bit as beautiful. The biggest building was where King Thor and his family and loyal companions stayed. There were smaller apartment-looking complexes where the citizens stayed until houses could be built. We were supported by America and Europe and a few other places of the world, and we were quick to get set up in only a few weeks time.
