As we head down for dinner, I already smell the food Evan's mum has prepared for us. It happens to be one of my favourite foods which really had me excited.
I sit next to Evan as Jared sits next to him. Evan's mum, Heidi left us in the kitchen to eat then went to her room to work. It was a silent dinner, no talking no laughing, no conversation. It was quiet, yet not boring. It was peaceful, a peaceful where you feel free to breathe and move. I enjoyed it.
But Jared broke
the sweet
sweet silence
"so... you guys gonna go to school together tomorrow?"
he asks and looks at us after taking another bite.
"well, yeah I guess"
I answer with Evan nodding along.
"Great, can I come with?"
"why not?"

We finished eating and head outside to walk home. Jared decides to stay at our place for the night since his parents won't be home and he didn't wanna be alone.
As Evan waves us goodbye, we walk along the path in silence and once again, jared broke it again.
"I have a personal question for you"
he says in an all serious voice, slowly turning to me, eyes filled with anxiousness
"Ask away"
I give a reassuringly smile to make him less anxious, his face lights up then suddenly becomes serious again as he opens his mouth to speak.
"Do you like anyone?"
