Chapter Twenty Three | Not A Goodbye

Three months went by so quickly. Hawkins got over every single news channel about the Mind Flayer raided our small town, and about how we saved it, but they didn't know our names.

Now I sit in Will's lounge, packing away things with Max. Since Hopper didn't make, and Joyce wanted a break from Hawkin's, she decided they'd move away for a bit.

Of course, we were all devastated about it. Also in those three months time, Will and I kissed somewhere in between and have been inseparable basically ever since. I felt a bit like El and Mike.

El was moving with Will, Jonathan, and Joyce. Joyce wanted to take El in and raise her, too.

"Turn around," Max and I begin to sing. "Look at what you see, in her face, the mirror of her dreams, rhythms that keep their secrets! Will unfold behind the clouds,"

Max cuts me off from singing any more. "Wait, did we get that verse right? Its unfold behind the clouds?" Max teased.

Across from us was Dustin giving us a bitch face look, sitting amongst the boxes. "Yeah, but you're butchering it, so could you please stop?" Dustin complained.

"So then join in, Dusty-bun," I give him a blow air kiss.

"Yeah, come on, Dusty-bun," Max nods her head. "Why don't you join us?"

"You guys are so funny, you should be on Carson," Dustin remarked, packing away some things for the Byers family.

"Can't we just hear your rendition?" Max pleaded.

"No," Dustin replied sharply.

"Please? Just one verse," I begged, lacing my fingers together and holding them up, an appose to begging.

"No," Dustin states. "No way. It's reserved for Suzie's ears and Suzie's ears alone."

Max and I looked at each other, smirks forming on our face. "Turn around! Look at what you see," Dustin gives us the finger, waving it around the air making me click my hands and rolling shoulders.

That's when I noticed my boyfriend, Will, walking in with some books and placing it on top of the box.

"Shut up, you guys," Dustin groaned and I quickly stood up. I walked towards Will, trailing off my singing as I reached him.

"Woah, dude, that's the donation box," Mike suddenly said to Will.

"I know." Will nodded. "I'll just use yours when I come back. I mean, if we still wanna play."

I looked down and saw that D&D sat there on the box. "Yeah, but, what if you want to join another party?" Mike asked.

Will smiled and looked over at me and Mike. "Not possible,"

Mike chuckles and Will grabbed my hand before dragging me to his room. I checked my jacket pocket to see if my going away present was still there.

Thankfully, it was.

"So I kind of have something for you." I begin to tell Will and he turns to me, stopping in his tracks and frowned. "I've got the first present and second present with me,"

Will shakes his head. "You didn't have to-"

I stepped forward, closing the gap between us and lock our lips together. He kissed back instantly, his hand touching my cheek carefully.

I pulled away and smiled. "That was your first present." I pulled out the tiny jewellery box. "This is your second one."

"Seriously, you didn't have to-"
