(9) Once a Snake💜

(Virgil's Pov)

Virgil lay spread out on his stomach. He was in the floor earphones in listening to his music humming along as his pencil stroked against the paper.
He heard a gental knock at the door.
He shut his Sketch book and turned around.
Roman.
"Hey Virg"? Roman said shifting awkwardly from one foot to another. His hands were stuffed into his white jeans pocket. He had on a Steven universe hoodie. Virgil couldn't help but grin at the sight of him. He always had to wear some sort of red, white and gold outfit. Although Virgil couldn't say much. He was constantly wearing black.
"Ye"? Virgil replied after a moment of being lost in his own thoughts. "Well usually me Pat and Logan have a movie night and Uhm...well." Roman began to stutter. Virgil couldn't help but giggle. He stood up picking up His book and placing it under his pillow.
"I'm hoping that's an invitation or I'll feel a bit silly" Virgil said giving a half smile. Roman grinned back and grabbed onto Virgil's  hand. But Virgil pulled away.
"I'm sorry it's just"- but he was cut of. "No it's fine". Roman said. Virgil looked at him. His smile had slightly faded but he didn't seem to upset.
"You need to talk to him first".
Virgil looked away. "Ye". Roman walked over and sat on the bed. "You really miss him don't you." Virgil's breath seemed to catch. He hated doing this. He lov- had really strong feeling for Deceit. And Deceit had said he would be the only one who would ever truly love him. He knew everything about Virgil. The two had grown up and slowly fallen for each other.
But Roman. Roman just appeared. It's like he'd been slapped across the face. At first he really did resent him. But now after everything he actually liked him. He didn't know if it was how he felt for Deceit or not. And He didn't know if Roman felt the same. He'd been acting sort of flirty but he was like that all the time. Heck he even had an occasional flirt with Logan and everyone knew that the two would never be romantically interested in each other. And that confused Virgil.

"Anyway lets go" Roman said jumping up. He waited for Anxiety. The two began chatting and bantering.
When the two walked in the living room door pushing and shoving giggling like children Patton and Logan were already on the couch. "There yous are!" Patton exclaimed. "We were about to pick a movie without you two."
Roman chuckled and flopped down on the couch. Virgil sat down beside him. One foot on the couch the other foots  ankle crossed over  resting on its knee. "What do yous want to watch"? "Oh how about big hero 6"? Logan said surprising everyone. "That's a good one". "Sure"! Patton replied. Roman agreed and so did Virgil. 

The four sat on the couch. Halfway through the movie Virgil glanced over and Patton and Logan. Patton's head was resting against Logan's chest as he had an arm around his shoulder. Virgil quickly looked away tears threatening to spill. He suddenly felt an arm sling around his shoulder.
"You okay"? Roman asked. Virgil shook his head. The tears were now slowly beginning to spill. Roman pressed Virgil's head against his head.
Virgil let him. He didn't care. He felt almost happy like that.
He then suddenly felt something press against his forehead. Then Romans cheek lay against his soft mop of brown hair.
Then Virgil could sense someone else's presence.
"I need to go". He said suddenly sitting up almost knocking Romans tooth out. "What"? Roman said looking shocked. "Where"? Virgil looked at him. "No"! Roman said. "Your not actually going to go back to"- "No of course not." Virgil said. Pacing around.  "I just".
He took a deep breath. He couldn't work himself over this. "I need to see him". He looked at Roman who looked like he could cry any minute.
"I just need to sort everything out."
He crouched down beside where Roman sat on the couch. "I'll be back I promise.
Roman leaned forward. For a minute Virgil was scared he would try to kiss him but he only pecked his cheek.
"Just promise you'll come back you emo nightmare." Virgil laughed. "I'll be back soon."

And with that he walked to the hall and sunk down. And went back to his old home.
He appeared and felt dizzy for a minute. He composed himself.
The first thing that hit him was the smell. It smelled like Remus deodorant sticks and it had some musty smell he couldn't make out. It was sort of like sweat.
"I can't believe the nerve of him"! A voice screamed form the living room.
"Everything we've ever been through and he did that to me! With your brother"! Virgil poked his head around the door. Deceit was pacing back and forth while Remus sat on the sofa looking at him. "And to make matters worse he"- "De" Remus said trying to cut across Deceit. "He completely ditches us"- "De"! Remus tried to cut across again. "And then he"- "DECEIT"! Remus yelled. "What"! Deceit yelled back in response. "You need to calm down."
Deceit plonked himself on the sofa beside Remus.
Please no. Was all Virgil could think.
Please don't let it actually be true.
Remus put an arm on Deceits shoulder. "This whole thing is not worth stressing over. He is not worth stressing over. Deceit sighed. "Perhaps your right." "You know I am" Remus soar giving an evil smirk. Deceit laughed. But it soon faded and he looked at Remus in the eyes.
"Please don't" Virgil whispered about to burst into tears.
"I don't know what I would do without you." Deceit said his eyes trailing from Remus's eyes to his lisp. "Go crazy probably" Remus said his voice soft and gentle not like it usually would be. His eyes now trailed towards Deceits lips. The two chuckled slightly.
Then the two
suddenly leaned in and their lips connected.
They stayed there for a few seconds. It probably would have escalated. But before Virgil could stop himself he let out a chocked sob then clamped his hand over his mouth. The two dark sides heads parted and lighting speed and turned around to see who was there. It was no surprise to Virgil to see the shock and horror on both their faces.
"Virgil wait"! Deceit called out but it was to late. Virgil concentrated just hard enough and before he knew it he was back in the living room.
Roman was sat on the couch alone and watching 'Cinderella'. He looked a bit startled when Virgil popped up.
"Sweet heavens you need to stop popping up like"- but his voice trailed of as soon as he saw Virgil's tear stained face. "Oh good lord Virgil!" He jumped of the couch and enveloped him in a huge hug. "What happened? Virgil's entire body began to shake as he sobbed into Romans shoulder. "He-he". Virgil took a deep breath. "He kissed Remus." Roman looked at him. "Deceit kissed Remus.
Roman looked at him and hugged him harder. "Im so sorry Virgil".
Virgil pulled away from the hug. Roman still had his arms loosely around his waist.
In that moment all Virgil could think was.
Fuck it.
And with that he got up slightly on his tipy toes.
He wrapped his arms around Romans neck.
And he Kissed him.
He kissed Roman
And what was even more shocking.
Roman kissed him back.

It's currently 1am and I'm dying but I really wanted to get this out.
