It's been a few months at daycare and everyone is so nice. I noticed Cookie being shy around me, and honestly I'm shy around her too. I wonder if she also has a crush on me. No, that's not it, is it? I was walking upstairs, but then I heard yelling. I walked up to see Ryan and some random kid yelling at each other.
Ryan: Leave this Daycare! ??: I would, but I came here for someone. Tina: Seriously, Ace, I'm not interested in you. Me: Ummmmm. Ryan: Sabre, get back! ??: You're not the boss here! Sabre: He is. He owns the place. ??: Whatever. Me: So Who is this guy? Tina: Ace. He kinda likes me, But I Like Ryan! Ace: I can treat cha better than this goof. Ryan: Hey! Me: Ryan is actually a good friend! Ryan: Yeah! Ace: You just made an enemy today. Tina, my offer still stands.
He then walked to the portal.
Me: Where is he going? Ryan: Back to his daycare. We are obviously the better daycare. Unicorn: Yeah! Me: He said that he's now my enemy, should I be worried? Ryan: No. Tina'll help. Tina: Yeah, and I'm only doing this because we're just friends and I hate Ace. Me: Ok. Cookie: I-I can help. Tina: Yeah! Cookie is a proud member of the slingshot squad. Me: I've heard of you guys having a squad. So what do you do? Tina: We protect Ryan! Ryan: And anyone who needs it here in the daycare, right? Tina: *sigh* Right. Me: Can I be a part of it? Tina: Sure! Me: Yay! Ryan: Oh, time to go. Me: Did I sleep in that late? Ryan: No. Today's an early out says by me! Me: I don't think that was proper English, but who am I to judge. Goldy: Let's go!
We then ran downstairs.
Me: Ryan, can I say it? Ryan: Sure man!
We then ran out the enterance.
Me: And that was another day at daycare!
I then walked home. Dad wasn't there. I left a note on the door saying that I got home early. I went into dad's room and went to his closet. I'd left one of my hoodies in there and I was going to get it. I grabbed my hoodie when I noticed a small box. I read the words on the top. To:Sabre. Why was there a box in dad's closet for me? I then put it in my pocket and went to my room. My birthday was coming up and dad said it was ok to have the party at the daycare. I took off my hoodie and looked out the window. I was wearing my white t-shirt with four black stripes. I noticed that it was going to rain. I then heard dad's car come in. I went to the door. Dad opened it and I gave him a hug.
Void: Hey kiddo, did ya miss me? Me: Yeah I did. I got home early. Void: Yeah, thanks for leaving the note. Me: Hey dad? Void: Yes? Me: What was mom like? Void: Oh, um, let's talk about this in the living room.
We walked to the living room and sat on our couch.
Void: Your mother was a wonderful person and she would've loved you dearly. She loved adventure and took a challenge when she saw one, but she also stayed cautious and when we met we knew we were going to be together. Me: I wish I could remember her. Void: Yeah, sorry. I still only have that one video. Me: I wish she was here.
I started to cry.
Void: Me too, but she's gone and we can't do anything to change that.
I could tell that he was going to cry. I gave him a hug. He hugged back and we stayed like that for a while.
Void: I'm going to go make a sandwich, you want anything? Me: No. I'm going to go read.
I then walked into my room and started to read.
