Chp. 3 Middle school

(Sabre's POV)

I'm 13 going into 14. I'm in my second year of middle school. My dad said that I could walk to school, seeing as it's not that far. I walk in and see my best friend Cookie. We've been best friends since daycare. Ryan was running behind her.

Me: Hey guys!
Ryan: Sup Sabre! So tonight my place?
Cookie: I'll come. So are we going to watch a movie.
Ryan: No, not just any movie. A movie that's so funny you'll remember it forever.
Me: I'm down. So who else is coming?
Ryan: Tina, Unicorn, Goldy, Kat, Tony, and Lizzy.
Me: Cool.

We then walked to our lockers. I felt someone take my hood down. I turned around and saw Pip. We've never got along, even if we tried.

Pip: Look at this loser!
Me: Just leave me alone Pip. Just cause we can't be friends don't mean you have to pick on me.
Pip: You're right, but I do it cause I like to.

I just growled and left. I got to class. Cookie sat right next to me. Danny on the other side. I front of me was Tina and behind me was Unicorn. This was one of my favorite classes, reading class.

*time-skip to last class*

Our last class was math. The teacher was nice. Her name was Beth.

Beth: Today, we have a new student who had to wait for the last class due to all the paperwork involved. Come up Ace.

I then got a bit more attentive. How could that guy be here?!

Ace: I hope we could all get along here.
Beth: Why not take the seat by Dave?
Ace: Happy to.

I felt something off about him. He was too happy. He had to be planning something. The bell rang and we got out. I went to my locker. Ace then tapped my shoulder.

Ace: Just know I'm going to get my payback.
Me: All I Did was defend Ryan!
Ace: Exactly.
Me: Look, can't we just let that be in the past?
Ace: I said You made an enemy that day, and I'm still that enemy.

I just grabbed my bag and left. Cookie was waiting by the entrance.

Cookie: Did you hear about the new student?
Me: That the new student is Ace.
Cookie: He's up to something.
Me: He's going to get his revenge on me for defending Ryan.
Cookie: Such a jerk! All you did was defend a friend!
Me: I know. I gotta tell my dad about going to Ryan's house today. Hey, why not come to my house after the movie's over?
Cookie: Sure! I've always wanted to see your parents!

I started to sweat. No one knew that my dad was Void. He knew people didn't like him, so he always let me go to other people's houses and never at mine unless he was out of the house for work. I walked inside my house. Void was watching something on the TV.

Me: Hey dad!
Void: Hey! What's up?
Me: Ace is the new student at my school.
Void: That jerk? Must be up to something.
Me: I know! So anyways, can I go to Ryan's house today for a movie?
Void: Sure.
Me: Also, can Cookie come over later today?
Void: Hmmmm. I guess. I'll just stay in my room doing paperwork.
Me: Thanks dad!

I gave him a hug.

Void: Don't forget about your party this weekend!
Me: I won't!

I then walked to Ryan's place.
