Chapter 6

NO ONES POV

"We just lost them," One of the lycans said

"Did I hear the word just. We need her," Marius growled grabbed the speaking lycan

"The vampires got there before us. They were leaving just as we got there," Another lycan said

"Uh huh and so was yesterday and months and days," Marius growled in anger

Meanwhile back at the coven the four stood there staring up at the lady. David hugged his father and stepped back. She wore a long black dress and her hair was in a old fashioned styled up-do.

"Welcome to our coven. Please our available weapons and train these vampires to train. Lycan killers. And here is Vagar our right hand and he knows all," She spoke

"Alright," Selene muttered as Vagar bowed his head.

"Ah, David your back. I arranged a masquerade for you as a welcome," Semira said

"You don't have to really," David said a bit uncomfortable and she whispered something to him as they walked up the stairs. Thomas noticed Subject fours eyes turn a slight purple and changed back brown.

Everyone went their separate ways and Thomas walked around with Subject four.

"You love him don't you?" He spoke

"Love? What's that?" Subject four asked looking up

"Well, love is something like Selene and Michael. They'll do anything for each other to protect. When you love someone you open up your heart," Thomas said and noticed her blank out and then blinked.

"She was beautiful. Amelia," Subject four said

"How do you know her name?" Thomas asked

"I listened to your heart," Subject four said

"Interesting," Thomas said staring down

"You know just when I thought you were a cold old cranky vampire, maybe an ass. But you are just scared and hurt. And you want David to be happy and safe," Subject four said hitting his arm playfully

"I see why David-

"Father, Subject four needs to change for the party," David said and the maids came and took Subject four to change

After a few moments and Subject four was out of sight, Thomas turned to David with a chuckle. David to his father suspiciously.

"You don't chuckle. What happen?" David asked

"You got yourself a special one. She has my full blessing," Thomas said walking with his son.

"But I don't think. I don't think she feels the same," David tried to reason

"I felt the same way when I met your mother. I think she does feel the same way. I mean being in that place and she's been on her own. You can give her many," Thomas said and soon he left with the other elders to ready the party.

David pov

The people surrounded the ballroom. Father was talking with the elders. Selene was with Michael and I heard her laugh for the first time in a while. And then I noticed Eve. She noticed and walked up to me with a smile.

"You look pretty Eve," I said causing her to laugh

"Looking for Subject four ?" Eve asked straight forward with raised brows

"No, just looking around," I said lying but she smirked and walk away to one of the traines from today.

The music played loudly and then it went to a very soft angelic melody. People parted and there she was. She wore a sky blue dress and gold heels. She was glowing and her curly hair. I felt my breathing stop and admire her beauty. I didn't realize how close she got when I felt her presence. She looked like a princess.
