The girls and I started to frown once manager unnie started to confiscate our cellphones. No! My baby! What am I going to do now?
"But unnie! It's almost my birthday!" Chaeyoung began to protest, faking a sob.
Jisoo unnie rolled her eyes, trying to consoleChaeyoung. Manager unnie was furious when she caught us using our phones instead of listening to her. Isn't contacting my family an acceptable reason?
Though she did want to bring my phone back, she thought that it was unfair for the rest. One for all, all for one.
"Will you die if I took your phones away for one whole day?" She arched an eyebrow.
"YES!" we answered altogether.
She sighed, massaging her temples. "You see, this is exactly why the current generation aren't actually experiencing freedom. You've become slaves of your mobile devices!"
We zipped our mouths, pregnant silence enveloped around us.

Manager unnie forced a smile to herself, seemingly contented. We had to shut up. Otherwise, we'd have to listen to her whole rant turned declamation instead of doing something productive for today.
"Good." She nodded. "Alright. I'll be back tomorrow."
Once the door slammed closed, we all started to groan. Fine. It's been a while since we had a whole day without any mobile phones, anyway. Still! Our phones are going to get confiscated for WEEKS once we start our schedules first thing in the morning tomorrow.
"This is a disaster!" Jennie unnie started to protest. "I was finally convincing that motherfucker, Taehyung sunbae, to finally send my baby here!"
I suppressed my laughter, remembering that Jungkook told me how Tae oppa wanted to meet up with her in person. They haven't seen each other in ages! I don't even know why Tae oppa doesn't climb up to Jennie unnie's window, anymore.
"Isn't it kinda dangerous if he sends himself here?" Jisoo unnie innocently asked. At least, she feigned to become innocent, raising her eyebrows at Jennie unnie.
Jennie unnie glared at her, face palming. Unnie stood up and was going to walk away when Jisoo unnie scolded her. "Yah, Jennie Kim, and where do you think you're going?"
