It was the next day, I was currently in the dressing room at the Ellen studios. Shawn and Hayes came with me whilst the boys had a day off. I was super nervous.
I had my hair half up and half down and I wore my typical jumper and knee high boots.
"So remember what we're announcing" Bart smiles.
"Yes!" I say.
I added some more highlight and there was a knock on the door.
"We're ready for you in 5 Miss Mendes" a man smiled
"I'm so nervous" I giggle.
"You'll be fine babe" Hayes smiles.
I make my way to the side stage and hear Ellen introduce me. I squeeze Hayes hands and when she calls my name I blush and walk on.
I hug her tightly and then sit down in the chair next to hers.
"Welcome to the show!" She smiles.
"Thanks! It's crazy to be here" I giggle.
"It's an honour to have you here!" She smiles.
"So.. we have to ask.. how are you and Hayes?" She smile showing a picture of us on the big screen

I giggle and blush looking at the picture.
"We're really good. We are back together and things couldn't be better!" I smile and the audience cheers.
"What happened with Maggie Lindemann?" She asks
"We started off as friends, but unfortunately people don't seem to be as nice as they come across sometimes. I have nothing against her but in this situation it was a bit shit for me. I always give second chances" I smile
"How does Shawn feel now that your dating Hayes?" She asks.
"He loves Hayes, he's known Hayes longer then I have so I know he would only let me date the best" I smile
"How has it been with touring with all these boys?" Ellen asks and shows a picture of them

"It's been absolutely amazing. They're all like brothers to me and I was lucky enough to fall in love to! And obviously mahogany is like the big sister I never had! She's absolutely amazing and she helps me so much Coping with everything. She truly is amazing" I smile
"How did you cope with the news of your mum passing?" She asks.
I take a deep breathe and look to the side seeing Shawn and smile.
"It was very hard. It was a big issue for me to deal with as she was my best friend and more. Breathing is about her and will always be dedicated to her. Not a day passes where I don't think about her" I say and wipe my eyes before I cry.
"We all think you're a very strong woman" she smiles and hugs me.
"We have to congratulate you, we heard you have been nominated for 3 teen choice awards!" She smiles
"Yeah! It's crazy!! Best album best single and best female artist" I smile
"We're you expecting that?" She asks
"God no! I never expected to be sitting here! I have the best fans in the world and I'd never be here without them" I smile.
"Well you have an incredible voice and you deserve all this success!" She smiles
"Thank you. I also have a surprise to tell everyone!" I smile.
"Oh! What is it?" She asks.
"I will be opening the teen choice awards with my new single that I am going to drop in 5 days!" I smile
"Woah!! 2 major updates! Opening the teen choice awards as well as dropping a new single!!" She smiles.
"I even have a snippet for you" I giggle
I smile and the producers okay the snippet and the crowd cheers and Ellen smiles "It sounds amazing! I can't wait to hear the whole song!!"
"Thanks!" I giggle
"What's the song about" She asks.
"Women in power. Seeing as I have been through quite a lot this past month and how I managed to deal with it" I say
"That's amazing!" She smiles.
We talk for a few more minutes and Ellen turns to me.
"Now, give it up for Ariana Mendes, doing her first television performance of 'Breathin!'"
I make my way over to the stage and the music starts...(Video at the top)
