"Goodmorning. You're heading out?" Kai, said, glancing up from nursing Kairo.

"Yeah baby, I'll see you later today" I kissed her forehead, and kissed Kairo.

"Okay I love you, be safe" She nodded.

"I love y'all too"

I didn't have to be at work till noon, but I had other things to to take care of.

"Yeah, lemme get the number 10 and hold the pickles" I said.

"And what do you want to drink?" The cashier asked.

"Sprite"

"Alright, your total is $6.35" He said as he runt everything up.

I handed him a 10, and he gave me my change back.

"Ight thank you" I said, grabbing the bag as I went back to my car.

I nodded my head to the music that played from the stereo.

I pulled up to the building and hopped out.

"Aye open up, its me" I said as I looked around.

The door opened, and I came in, handing him the bag of food.

"How she doin?" He asked, eating the fries.

"She's good, look like she finna pop doe." I said.

"Damn. You know when she due?"

"Sometime in October I think. That's what Kai told me."

"I can't believe she having my babies bruh" August said.

"I can't believe yo ass still away from her" I looked at him.

"You know it's dangerous man. Kayla still out there, and I don't need her tryna hurt Charisma while she carrying my kids" August looked at me.

"I understand. But damn nigga, she gotta go through this pregnancy by herself. And it's more than one kid" I shook my head.

"I'm doin' dis to protect ha! How you think I feel. I want ta be there wit ha." August grumbled.

"We haven't seen or heard from Kayla in months. I don't think she's worried about y'all anymore".

"But that don't mean she out there"

"Okay. Well you know where to reach me, I gotta go to work" I said.

"Aight. Thanks" He said, reaching to dap me up.

"No problem" I dapped him as I headed off to work.

August finna have to come out of hiding. Cause that ain't it.
