Ashton:

“Happy birthday, Love,” Ashton whispers, brushing back the hair that had fallen across your face during the night. “What?” you mumble, still groggy. Ashton’s loud laugh crashes like cymbals in the quiet of the night. “Its midnight. Happy birthday!” he says again, lifting you up so you can rest against his chest. You smile brightly, finally awake enough to process what he was saying. “Thanks baby, but you didn’t have to wake up at midnight,” you reply, giving him a kiss on the neck. He giggles, always so ticklish. “Yes I did. You told me your mum used to wake you up at midnight, and I know you miss her being an ocean away. I just want you to feel at home here too!” he tells you. You lean up, kissing him softly knowing that you’ll always feel at home in his arms.

Calum:

“Happy birthday, baby,” Calum says, waving at you. His cute little face is being broken down into pixels that break up as the internet connection comes and goes. “Thanks, Cal” you reply, your friends popping up behind you. “Wish you were here,” you tell him, seeing that flawless smile falter. “I’ll be back in two days,” he reassures though his expression makes you feel guilty for having said anything at all. He had done everything to move this gig, but it had been booked months in advance. “Did you get your flowers?” You nod, smiling at the thought of waking up to the bouquets of flowers he had sent to you. “They were absolutely beautiful!” He smiles as he pats the small box in his pocket that houses your real present and hopefully an answer that will make him happy for the rest of his life.

Michael:

“Happy birthday to you…” Michael sings, while playing his guitar. You smile and blush as everyone in the room starts to clap. Michael hurries over so he can pull you into a hug. You’re shaking a little bit as you process what has just happened. “Are you alright, love?” he asks, concern written all over his face as pulls away to look at you. “Yeah…I just, you surprised me. I didn’t think you were doing to be able to make it tonight,” you explain, watching him unclench as he sees you smile. “So it was a good surprise then?” he asks, his arms wrapping around his waist. “Best birthday ever Mikey” you reply, feeling him smile into your kiss. “Just wait until I give you your present later,” he whispers with a wink. You try to cover the look of desire you can’t help but turn on him as you see your parents approaching. However, you can’t wait to get Michael alone so you can unwrap your present.

Luke:

Your eyes are closed as you hold tighter to Luke’s hand. “We’re almost there,” he promises, knowing that you aren’t one for surprises. This was just too good to reveal to you beforehand. “Happy birthday,” he whispers as you come to a stop. You open your eyes and see a house with a beautiful garden and neatly painted shutters. “What is this about Luke? Whose house is this?” you ask, your confusion more than evident. Luke kicks at the ground. “I know that this is crazy, but we drove past this house on our third date. You told me when you got married and had children that this was where you would want to live. I already knew then that you were the one and now we’re married with the little one on the way. I just want to make all your dreams come true.” You are speechless; this was more than you could have ever imagined. “Can we go inside?” you ask, a giddy smile on your face which Luke returns though his is mixed with relief. He holds up the key and links hands with you thinking this just might be the best birthday ever.
