Chapter 25

Tariq's birthday was in the middle of April, and the two couples decided to take a few days off to head to Spain. It was a lovely trip and the women enjoyed relaxing by the beach.

When the end June rolled around, it was Hannah's turn to celebrate her birthday. The blonde did not want any big celebration, but of course Mikayla ignored her and threw a large party for her anyway.

By the time the July weather hit, the two women were sporting very large bellies. Hannah and Mikayla enjoyed dressing up in various styles of maternity wear. The quartet was currently out shopping, looking at various baby items.

"I still can't believe that I'm having a boy and a girl," Mikayla said.

"I know right? Looks like this time I had the goat mouth," Hannah grinned.

"Indeed! Our children will grow up to be best friends, just like the four of us" Mikayla replied while showing the group a twin onesie set which they approved.

"God! Can you imagine if Hannah was having a girl? One of her is enough," Damien teased.

Turning to glare at him she retorted, "Yea? Well thank goodness that your babies only carry half of your DNA!"

Mikayla and Tariq gave each other knowing glances as they watched their partners bicker.

"Swear the two of you have given Tariq and myself enough practice," Mikayla commented as she playfully rolled her eyes.

Hannah frowned and stuck her tongue out at Damien before turning her attention back to Mikayla. Linking her arms into her best friend's they continued to walk through the various isles.

Damien and Tariq trailed behind, pushing the carts as the women picked up various items. They were both looking forward to becoming fathers and Hannah and Mikayla pretended not to notice when they tried to discreetly add items into their carts.

Since their children were going to be born about two months apart, the quartet felt like they could almost be triplets. As a result, they decided to give them names all ending in 'yn'.

Hannah and Tariq had decided on the name Zayn for their son, an Arabic name that they felt was suitable even in the western world. Similarly, Mikayla and Damien chose the names Kaelyn and Kamdyn for the twins.

The baby rooms had been decorated, the couples each helping the other in setting them up. Naturally, since it was the couples' first babies, they all went overboard.

Zayn was scheduled to born around the 3rd of August, and Hannah decided on a water birth. Meanwhile, Mikayla's twins were scheduled to be delivered via c-section two months after, as twins were usually never carried to full term. Dr. Knowles would be keeping an extra close eye on Mikayla as she entered into her third trimester.

As they passed an aisle filled with minis tuxedos and gowns, Mikayla could not help but squeal. Walking over to the outfits, her fingers gently traced the designs on the fabric.

"How cute are these?" Mikayla asked.

"Very," Hannah said as she picked up a tiny black tuxedo.

"Imagine if you decided to get married now, we could dress the children up in these. Too bad you already decided on waiting until the children are a bit older before you and Tariq tied the knot," Mikayla commented.

With a small smile on her face, Hannah replied, "Seeing these outfits are seriously making me reconsider.

"Yea? Would you like to get married next year instead?" Tariq excitedly asked as he interjected himself into their conversation.

"It's tempting, but no, I think waiting a few years seems like the best option. I mean there's no rush, right?" Hannah turned to him.

Running a hand through his hair he sighed, "Can't blame a guy for trying.
