An hour later, in the sky, several members of SHEILD sat at a round table. Captain America sat tall, with Bruce Banner next to him. Natasha sat across the table. Fury and Maria Hill were among them.

The only one not present at the table was Dahlia. She had went to her room to shower and change. By the time that Fury began to brief the newly recruited team, she was already on her way back.

"So, we seemed to have encountered a foreign enemy." Fury spoke. "And it may come to a surprise, and quite frankly, I am unsure on whether or not I should send Dahlia back to DC."

"She can handle anything I can." Natasha told Fury. They were a team; they went wherever the other went.

"I am aware of that fact, Miss Romanoff. However, the foreign guest seems to have a past with our little alien." Fury said. He was not aware how close Dahlia was getting.

"Wait, what?" Steve Rogers asked.

Fury looked at the Solider. "Welcome to level seven, Rogers and Banner. Miss Dahlia Romanoff is not of this world. She is from another. The same world that our new friend is from, apparently."

It was then that Dahlia stepped into the room. "What friend?" The Princess asked as she moved to sit next to Natasha.

Fury sighed; he felt he would regret his next words. "Loki of Asgard, I'm afraid."

Dahlia's stomach dropped and her mouth fell agape. A million questions began to pour into her head at once. Natasha noticed this, and reached under the table to grab her hand.

"What?" Dahlia finally managed to say.

"Your boyfriend used the tesseract as a portal. He has since taken control over some of our best agents, stolen the tesseract, and has Agent Barton under some kind of mind control."

Dahlia shook her head. "No. No. That is not possible. Loki would never do something like this."

Fury then shook his head. "You are going back to DC. You are to close to this mission."

Dahlia grew angry then. She rose to her feet. "Fury, I am not going home. I have spent the last year listening to a man tell me what to do. I will not do that now. If it is Loki, if in the small chance it is, I am your best chance at stopping him. He'll listen to me."

"She's right." Banner spoke, his cheeks reddened when everyone looked at him. "As crazy as this entire conversation is, if it is her boyfriend, she could be the only one to bring him in safely."

Fury thought for a moment. He did not want Dahlia to get hurt; anymore so then his other agents. Then he realized he was being soft on the Princess. "Fine."

Dahlia sat down and let out a shaky breath. She couldn't believe that Loki was on Earth; that he had done something so terrible. It did not sound like the man that she loved, the man she knew. Surely there was something wrong. It had to be a different person.
