It is the year 199X when times are a bit simpler with lifestyles and hobbies. It is during the time when the internet is starting to take off. A time when Saturday morning cartoons are a common thing for kids to enjoy. A time when music still has not lost its luster. A time when people achieve their goals through merit. And a time when everyone has dreams...

There is a young boy living in Hartford, Connecticut located in the New England region of America who has dreams of being a comic book artist. He lives in the suburbs in a nice two-floor house with a dark grey rooftop. This person's name is Jason Starling, a fourteen-year old African-American kid who has amber eyes, black hair, and wears a red sweatshirt, white pants, and grey sneakers with black shoelaces. He is sitting at the table in the kitchen on a chair, eating his Fruity Pebbles cereal.

He also has his comic titled "Full Metal Specter Issue #28" that features a person clad in white and orange armor with steel wings of an angel, flying as if the character is going to fly out of the cover. He admires the attention to detail of the art. He also laments that he could never draw in that level of detail. However, he will not give up on his dream.

"The colors and art of this issue are very good and look very close to anime style," Jason comments of the comic while eating his cereal. "And I thought comics from DC and Marvel were some of the top quality arts I have ever seen." He turns the page to see what appears to a dark caped villain levitating from the ground and facing off against the comic's hero, Full Metal Specter. "Awesome! I can't wait to see what goes down next!"

He then hears the house's doorbell ring. He wonders who it is. So, he gets up from the table to go answer the door. Jason opens the door and is greeted to a long red-haired and blue-eyed Caucasian girl who appears to be about the same age as him. She has a beauty mark below her left eye and wears two pearl earrings as well as a black bow tying two locks of hair behind her head.

The girl also wears a purple dress top with a collar shaped like two flower petals, a long black skirt, and black shoes. She carries a picnic basket in her left hand and carries a brown leather purse. The girl who rang the doorbell is in fact Melissa Hathaway, Jason's girlfriend. She is so happy to see Jason to the point of embracing him.

"Oh, Jason! I'm so happy to see you!" Melissa says happily. She kisses him on the lips.

"Looks like you're very happy today," said Jason, embracing back.

"Well, I'm always happy to see my love!" she smiles. "And also, I can't wait for today's school field trip!"

What she said startles him a bit, causing her to back away, "Gasp! I totally forgot that! I have been too busy reading that comic book."

"Don't fret, silly," Melissa giggled. "We have plenty of time before school starts at 8:30 am."

The two kids are in the kitchen checking out the comic book on the table. Jason shows his girlfriend the page where he left off.
