With one big gasp Macy woke up in Damon's bed, free of pain, and felt lucky to be alive.

She sat up slightly and felt her torso, no scars, it had to be Damon or Stefan.

She noticed her phone besides her and picked it up, getting out of bed, deciding not to read the time.

Damon was not in bed anyway so it didn't bother her.

She opened up the texts between her and Kathrine, as she knew that she was the one who did the deed

M: Wtf was that for

Katherine answered straight away

K: used you to get to Damon, very simple, drunk some of your blood, carved karma into my stomach and it didn't hurt one bit.

M: news flash, I live with vampires

K:  least I know I got through to Elena and Stefan

M: oh what did you do

K: nearly killed Jenna

M: Katherine you bitch, you utter prick

K: fuck off

Macy closed her phone and took off downstairs. She got to the top of the stairs and witnessed Elena about to leave, but Damon stopped her.

"Elena, I riled Katherine up, I nearly got Macy killed let alone Jenna, she's fine, she's upstairs, I didn't think."

"It's doesn't matter Damon" Elena cut him off "Katherine won"

Elena left and Damon looked at her

Tears forming

Macy sat at the top of the stairs and watch Damon basically nearly break down.

Damon walked upstairs cursing under his breath, he say Macy sitting at the top

"What are you doing here?" Damon asked trying to help Macy

Macy got up herself and rubbed her eyes

"Nothing, uh I need to get ready"

"You were bleeding out earlier and automatically you are fine" Damon Said ignoring what Macy said

"Katherine May be a bitch, but you'll be surprised what you get by being nice to her"

"You've been talking to Katherine"

"Least of your problems Damon"

"Not it's not, my friend got hurt "

"Friend" Macy looked at him puzzled

"you called yourself my boyfriend earlier, take one look at Elena and you called me your friend"

Macy shook her head as Damon face went hard, like he didn't have emotion

"It will always be Elena, I don't know why I thought different" Macy whispered
