I'm so sorry this is so late. I've been super busy and haven't been able to come up with any ideas.  But then Pinterest writing prompts came to the rescue!

Don't be afraid to point out any mistakes!

TW: none

Roman glanced around the nearly empty basement. How had he managed to get himself trapped in here. He was the hero! The hero's always defeated the villains.  Yet here he was stuck in his nemesis' layer. And it was freezing. The only thing that could could offer him warmth was Deceits cloak that was draped over a chair. But there was no way he was lowering himself to stealing. Especially not if it was Deceit's cloak he was stealing.

Minutes passed and the cold continued to seep into his bones. His teeth started to chatter together and he wrapped his arms around himself trying to get even a little more warmth.

"Screw it," he whispered to himself after he failed to warm up even an infinitesimal amount. Roman stood up and quickly crossed the room, grabbed the cloak, and wrapped it around himself. Almost immediately he noticed a difference, and snuggled in deeper into the cloak, basking in the warmth. He breathed in deeply and smiled. It smelt like Deceit too.

Wait.

Why was he smiling at that. This was his enemy. He should be disgusted that it smells like him. Why is he happy about that!

The door swung open, and Deceit walked in, interrupting Roman from his thoughts.

"Your city is mine now. You are —" Deceit paused, staring quizzically at Roman. "You are wrapped in my cloak?"

"It's cold in here, and you didn't exactly lock me up. Besides, if you actually heated this place up sometimes I wouldn't have had to stoop so low as to thievery!" Roman said indignantly with some sort of cross between a scowl and a pout on his face.

"You look adorable," Deceit said with a sneer. But something about it seemed off. It kind of looked like it was forced, but there was no way that Deceit actually thought Roman was adorable. That's ridiculous.

"Whatever, don't you have some villainy stuff you have to do now?" Roman asked.

"Why, so you can try to escape?"

"Of course! I have a city to save!" Roman exclaimed.

"I do have some things that I need to attend to, so I will be leaving soon." Deceit said. "Oh, and if you do escape, please leave my cloak behind, I kind of need it,"

With that, Deceit left the room, locking the door on his way out. He knew Roman will have escaped by the time he gets back. Roman's smart, and no matter what trap Deceit set, he always escapes.

And sure enough, when Deceit got back an hour later, Roman was long gone. But there was something else. He glanced around the room for a few seconds before he realized what it was.

"That bastard took my cloak!"

The ending kinda sucks but I didn't know where to go with it.

And if you got confused by the differences in how Roman and Deceit are viewing the situation, basically Deceit traps Roman a lot, but Roman is a drama queen about it every time which you can see at the beginning.

I hope you enjoyed this!
