Hi, so I'm not dead. Sorry it has been so long, life hit me like a truck. But I went through all the comments on this book and y'all were so nice and it gave me motivation so I finally got a one shot finished!

I also did not proofread this, so don't be afraid to point out any mistakes!

Enjoy!

Tw: Depression, crying, snapping, idk

Patton seemed off. He hadn't made a single joke or pun of any kind all morning. His smile was forced and it didn't reach his eyes. To say Logan was worried about his boyfriend was an understatement.

"Patton, are you feeling ok?"

"Yep! I'm just a little tired 'cause I stayed up a little too late last night!" Patton said smile widening. Anyone else might have believed him, but not Logan.

"Are you sure, love, you haven't been acting like yourself?" Logan asked gently.

"I'm fine," Patton said sharply. "I'm just tired."

"Patton, it's ok to have a bad day. I just wa-"

"Logan! I said I'm fine! Stop asking." Patton snapped, cutting off Logan.

"Oh, ok," Logan said, straightening his tie. "I'm sorry to have bothered you. I'll be in my room if you need me."

With that Logan walked away, not hearing Patton's mumbled "wait."

Patton stared at the empty space where his boyfriend had occupied. His eyes teared up. He had gone and screwed up again. Logan was just concerned for him! That was no reason to snap. He shook his head in an attempt to clear his thoughts and walked to Logan's room.

"Hey Lo, it's me," Patton said, knocking on the door. "Can I come in?" There was no reply.

Just as he was about to leave and accept that Logan just needed some time to cool off, and he could come back later the foot swung open. Logan stepped to the side, and wordlessly gestured for him to come in. Patton smiled and walked in, sitting on the edge of Logan's bed. Logan shut the door, then sat at his desk chair.

"I'm sorry!" Patton blurted. "I shouldn't have snapped at you. You were just concerned, and rightly so, I was having a not so great day."

"Apology accepted. I understand you still have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that it is ok for you to have bad days. Recovery isn't linear, so there will be days when you fall back on your old habits. That being said, would you like to "vent" about it?" Logan asked, holding up a flash card.

Patton chuckled, then his smile faded slightly. "I probably should. It's just hard because there isn't anything to talk about. My day was fine! it was just like every other day! Yet everything feels so down in the dumps. I've felt like I'm on the verge, heh verge. Virgil. Ah back on track. I feel like I've been on the verge of breaking down all day and I don't know why! I shouldn't be feeling like this! I have you, and Roman and Virgil and Thomas and the fans! Nothing bad has happened so I don't deserve to feel like this."

"Patton, your feelings are valid. You don't need justification for feeling sad, sometimes you just do. And that's ok. Feelings aren't something you need to deserve, they are just something you experience. And yes negative feelings aren't fun to go through, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. The dark can be scary, but that's why we're here. But we can't help you if you don't come to us."

Patton was crying now. "I know. It's just hard. I don't want to be a burden!"

Logan stood up and moved to sit by Patton on the bed, opening his arms. Patton leaned towards him wrapping his arms around Logan's torso and squeezing. "You aren't and never will be a burden. You do so much for all of us, so of course we would want to return the favor. You wouldn't say I'm a burden for having a hard time with my emotions so the same goes for you." Logan said, wrapping his arms around Patton and gently rubbing his back. Patton leaned into the touch, a sob wracking through his body. Logan held him tight, gently stroking a hand through his hair and murmuring reassurances.

Once Patton's tears slowed to a stop, Logan summoned a glass of water and some tissues and handed them to Patton.

"Thanks," Patton whispered, grabbing the tissues, blowing his nose, then taking a sip of the water.

"You're welcome."

"I don't just mean the water. Thanks for being here for me, Lo. I love you so much," Patton said, resting his head on Logan's shoulders.

"I love you too."

"I know it's the middle of the day, but could we take a nap. I'm really drained."

"Of course sweetheart," Logan said.

Together they shifted back further onto the bed. Logan pulled back the covers as Patton snapped them into their pajamas. Logan laid down and opened his arms, allowing Patton to snuggle in close. Pulling the blankets over the two of them, Logan kissed Patton's forehead.

"Sleep well."

Ok first of all this fic was exactly 800 words and I didn't even try to make that happen, it just did and it made me very happy lmao.

Second, I hope y'all liked this! I literally started this waaay back when I first published the first one shot of this book, but I kept hitting a wall. Then I went back to it today and I finally got around it!

Sorry again for how long of a wait this was. My life is hectic. I'm taking 4 Ap classes, I have a part time job, and I'm captain of my school dance team, which doesn't leave a lot of free time. I have school off tomorrow tho, so I'm going to try to stock up on some one shots.

ALSO! If you leave a request and I don't reply, don't be afraid to tag me a bunch.  Wattpad is stupid and sometimes comments slip through the cracks.

That being said, please request and comment and vote! It really makes my day!

Peace Out!
