ship: george x alex

the night sky was a dark shade of navy blue. there were no stars to be seen anywhere.

the sky was empty.

alex felt empty.

he raised his arm off the ground, raising it to the sky. the sleeve to his sweater fell down a little. alex was grateful that he couldn't see what lies on his tainted skin.

it was this time of year that alex felt most comfortable wearing sweaters, winter. no one looked at him oddly for wearing sweaters every day. winter is the only time alex can fully be invisible.

alex looks at his hand, extending his fingers out. he let out a sigh.

suddenly another hand grabbed his, bringing him back to reality. alex looked to the side where the hand came from, seeing a familiar face.

"stop thinking." george whispers, intertwining his and alex's fingers.

his eyes begin to water as alex sits up from the dirty floor. george follows him.

tears fall down his cheeks as alex quickly tries to wipe them with his other hand. he fails though, already giving up. george pulls him to be flushed against his chest. their hands separate and instead alex feels two arms wrap around his thin waist.

"shh," george whispers into his ear. "i'm here, you're not alone."

alex just cries harder, feeling so pathetic yet so safe. all he can do is wrap his arms around the others waist and hold him tightly.

"i love you." alex sobs into george's shoulder.

"i love you too."
