they propose at disneyland
your boyfriend of nearly 7 years has bought tickets for 4 days at Disneyland. you of course are very excited because the both of you have not taken a trip like this in a while due to his busy schedule.
time to pack! you pack warm and cool clothes, necessities and other things. he does the same with his bag. he has promised not to do any work while on this trip. you hope that he keeps that promise.
you're finally there and you decide to go out the first night. enjoying the views and spending time with each other. the next day, was going on rides, the day after that was playing games. the final day you planned on eating breakfast, pack and leave, but for some reason, the night before he was acting funny.
he couldn't stop giggling. it wasn't a cute giggle, it was a nervous giggle. eye contact between you two was less than 5 seconds, that's not normal, he usually sat there and gazed into your eyes.
you had gotten up, he was still sleeping. you decide to lay in bed and wait for him to wake up. not long after, he arises with a bad case of bed head. you laugh at him, he covers his face and laughs as well.
you both get up for the day and head down for breakfast. while you're eating, he becomes very shy and will not talk. you try to start a conversation, but got nothing in return.
he finally speaks up, but very quietly.
"y/n?"
you hum because you had food in your mouth and look up at him. he's fidgeting with his fingers and struggling to make eye contact with you. you swallow your food and answer him.
"what's wrong y/b/n?"
he looks up at you and finally speaks up.
"i have been meaning to ask you this for a while"
you're confused by his actions and words. he continues to speak.
"you are the brightest light in my life when it's the darkest. you listen to me when i have problems, and i listen to you when you have problems. we've known each other for 12 years, i finally asked you out 7 years ago. that took me a lot of courage. i love you as my girlfriend, but"
he stopped mid-sentence and your heart dropped. was he going to break up with you? you heard him take a big breath.
"but... i would love for you to be more than just my girlfriend. like i have stated before, i have been wanting to ask you this for a while"
your heart started racing faster by the second. he pulls a small box from his pocket.
"will you marry me y/n?"
your eyes were wide and your mouth was open. people around you gasped and watched for your response. you nod vigorously at him, he gets up and hugs you. placing the ring on your finger, he is shaking. he must've been really nervous.
the ring was shaped like a queen's crown, with gold around it. the people around you both started clapping. you take his face in your palms, kissing his plump lips. he smiles in the kiss.
"i'm looking forward to the special day"
"i am too y/n"
