"Hey, Kurt." (Y/n) grumbles as he walked into the office, the door closing behind him. "Hey (Y/n)! You ready to go?" Kurt asks with a smile, (Y/n) giving him a confused look. "What? Do I have to go with you?" (Y/n) asks, internally screaming. 'sure I can deal with him at school but is he part of that foster family I have to stay with? oh gods, I'm going to go insane!' (Y/n) thinks and Kurt smiles. "Yep, you are staying with my family!" Kurt says smiling, (Y/n) stopping himself from groaning. "Oh really? Great!" (Y/n) forces a smile on his face, Kurt smiling back. "Come on, we gotta catch the bus, I don't want to walk home!" Kurt says and heads to the door, (Y/n) following him quickly.
"So, I'm staying with your family, cool." (Y/n) says back, Kurt nodding, the two quickly getting to the front, walking outside where it was raining. "Yep! My house is great! It's big and our backyard is connected to the woods!" Kurt says excitedly, walking down the steps, (Y/n) staying at the top step under the roof. "(Y/n), come on, we gotta wait for the bus over there." Kurt says, looking back at (Y/n) who was staring at the sky with an annoyed look.
"Yeah (Y/n), why don't you go in the rain?" An annoying voice spoke, (Y/n) turning his head to see Dib walking up. "Oh wait, you can't go in the rain because you're an alien!" Dib snaps, Kurt looking at Dib with a surprised look. "(Y/n) is an alien?" He questions, (Y/n) groaning. "Kurt don't listen to Dib, he's insane." (Y/n) says back, Dib glaring at (Y/n). "Shut up, Kurt, you may be gullible but you would know how weird (Y/n) acts!" Dib snaps and Kurt narrowed his eyes, clearly thinking.
"Dib, I gave you those earings so you could "study" it or something, it'll prove that I'm just a human, so fuck off." (Y/n) snaps, shoving Dib before storming down the steps and past Kurt, Kurt quickly walking after (Y/n). "You shouldn't say fuck, it's bad," Kurt says and (Y/n) just rolls his eyes. "I just said it to get Dib-shit to stop." (Y/n) grumbles, shaking their hair out, more rain hitting him. "Ugh!" (Y/n) hisses annoyed before glaring at the ground.
"...alright, the bus is here, come on!" Kurt says and sped walk to where a line was forming to get on the bus, (Y/n) quickly following Kurt, almost tripping a few times. "Hey, guys!" Kurt said happily, a small group of jocks were standing at the end of the line. "Hey, Kurt, what's good?" one of the jocks say, slapping Kurt on the back. "My family is taking in another kid till they get adopted, meet (Y/n)!" Kurt says and pulls (Y/n) over, the group of jocks just staring at him. "Welcome to the group little man." One of the taller jocks say and lightly pushes (Y/n), (Y/n) stumbling and Kurt grabbed his good arm, making sure he wouldn't fall. "Hey, don't push him, he's already got a bad arm," Kurt says and the group of jocks get on the bus, (Y/n) getting on the bus after them, the group walking to the back of the bus, talking loudly.
'Kurt is fine but I don't really like this group, they're too rough.' was all (Y/n) thought, stopping at an empty bus seat in front of the jock group. (Y/n) just sat down, digging through their bag and taking out their phone. 'it's almost dead, who cares.' he thinks, opening youtube and playing a random playlist, AJR's Neo Theater album playing. (Y/n) just spaced out, staring out the window, snapping out of it when seeing movent in his left eye, him turning his head and seeing the infamous Zim.
(Y/n) just stared at Zim, he was clearly talking but (Y/n) couldn't hear. 'why can't I- wait, I'm a dumbass.' (Y/n) thinks and takes out one of the earbuds. "What did you say?" (Y/n) questions, Zim glaring at him. "Zim will not repeat what he said." Zim just said back with his arms crossed, (Y/n) just rolled his eyes. "Ok." Was all he said, about to put his earbud back in when hearing some kids shout at Zim to sit down, Zim looking around with panic in his eyes, not seeing an empty seat. (Y/n) just let out another sigh and reached out and grabbed Zim's arm, pulling him into the seat as the bus started to move.
"Ack!" Zim screeches, scooting away from (Y/n), getting ready to hit the teen boy if he tried anything, (Y/n) just rolling his eyes and putting his earbud back in, looking out the window with a bored expression. Zim just stayed quiet, watching (Y/n) with narrowed eyes. 'this stink-worm is definitely planning something... what is it?' Zim thinks before crossing his arms and slumping down in his seat. 'does he really think he can fool me, ZIM?! that fool, I'll make sure that never happens.' Zim thinks, looking out the window past (Y/n), seeing Dib and Gaz walking down the sidewalk. 'this means the almighty Zim's stop is next!' Zim thinks, looking over at (Y/n) who was grabbing his bag, the jock named Kurt was leaning over the back of the seat to talk to (Y/n).
"Alright (Y/n), our stop is next, some of the guys are coming home with us," Kurt said and (Y/n) nodded. "Alright, that's fine." (Y/n) mumbles back, the bus stopping and Zim jumped up and darted off the bus, (Y/n) rolling his eyes and getting up and following Kurt and a few friends off the bus, walking down the sidewalk.
'alright, a recap of my day, I met tall bastard again, and I met some kid named Zim who is.... different yet interesting.' (Y/n) thinks, looking ahead of the group and seeing Zim disappearing into a strangely built house. 'yep, definitely weird.' (Y/n) thinks, following Kurt and his friends into a big house, only a few doors down from Zim.
"Well (Y/n), welcome to your new home until you get adopted!" Kurt exclaims, (Y/n) looking around the living room they walked into. "This place is nice." was all (Y/n) said and one of the other jocks laughed. "Of course it is, we all live here, no?" one of the jocks said back, (Y/n) glancing at him. "You all live here?" He question and Kurt nods. "Yeah, usually when mom and dad aren't home, mom and dad won't be back for another month so the house is ours!" Kurt says and laughs, (Y/n) groaning internally. 'this will be... eventful.'
(Alright, sorry for the short chapter, I'm probably going to skip over the weekend because knowing the reader, they never go outside unless necessary so ye, sorry again for the short chapter.)
