Meanwhile with Luigi and SMG4, they were now getting extra concerned about Mario and Meggy, especially after they disappeared a few hours ago.
Luigi: I really hope my bro is okay...
SMG4: No, you know what? We're getting to the bottom of this! Come on, Luigi!
Luigi nodded nervously and followed SMG4 to the Mario Bro's house.
SMG4: This weird behavior has gone on for far too long now! I know Mario can go crazy, and Meggy can get insane from hearing the word paint, but this ends now.
The two arrived at the house and prepared to open the door.
SMG4: Alright, Mario and Meggy! This is now over-
SMG4 opened the door and gasped along with Luigi. Mario and Meggy were on the floor naked kissing each other.
Luigi: W-what...? B-bro...?!
SMG4: What the fuck is this...?!
Mario and Meggy looked up and screamed.
Mario: HOLY SHIT!
Meggy slammed the door and started to get dressed quickly.
Luigi: Wow. I never thought I would see an inkling naked.
A shot of orange ink suddenly came through the door and hit Luigi in the face.
Luigi: OW!!!
Meggy: I heard that!
Mario got dressed and opened the door.
SMG4: Wait... So... You two are...
Mario: *Sigh* Yes, we're a couple.
Meggy: That's right...
SMG4: Oh my god... So this is why you guys have been acting so weird!
Mario: Okay, go back outside. We're gonna sort this out...
SMG4: Sure... I'll go help Luigi.
SMG4 closed the door, as Meggy facepalmed.
Meggy: I knew we should of done that in the basement!
Mario: Oof... Damn it. We let our guard down... But now Luigi and Glitchy know about our love.
Meggy: *Sigh* Looks like the secret is out... We should just tell everyone that we're a couple.
Mario: Yeah... Hopefully they support us through it.
Meggy: Darn...
Mario hugged Meggy tightly and kissed her on the lips.
SMG4: You guys done?
Mario: Yep, we're coming out now!
Mario and Meggy walked out of the house and started walking towards the castle with Luigi and SMG4.
Mario: We'll confirm everything you just saw when we make our announcement at the castle.
SMG4: Got it. Still, I can't believe what I've seen...
Luigi: Me too...
Mario: Hey, bro... I think you might wanna apologize to Meggy, because she isn't happy about what you said outside the door.
Luigi: Yeah, I will...
Mario: Mmhmm.
The couple held hands and sighed in defeat.
(Oof, that's even more awkward to get caught doing something like that. One more chapter!)
