"Hey." I felt someone tapping my shoulder.
I looked over and saw him smiling.
I smiled and said, "Hi."

"Are you going to be at practice?"
"Yeah, are you?"
He smiled, nodding.

"I'll see you later then." he said, turning in the hallway.
I looked at him as he left and kept walking straight.

I smiled to myself.

His smile was so cute.

I mentally screamed in my head, almost bumping into someone.

"Excuse me." I whispered, squeezing through two people.

When I sat down next to my friend in the classroom, he said, "Dude, Ruel was talking about you after you left yesterday."
"What did he say?"
"Oh she's so beautiful. I really wish she would like me back. And then he kept blabbing."
"He likes me?" I asked, confused.

"And people say guys are oblivious." he said, rolling his eyes and sliding into his chair.

My head became dizzy. The teacher started lecturing, but all I could think about was Ruel.

After class ended, I quickly rushed out, going to lunch.

I sat down next to my friend and said, "I have news!"
"What?" she asked, shoving fries into her mouth.

"Dylan told me Ruel likes me." I whispered, smiling.
She nearly choked, saying, "Y/n! He li-"
I covered her mouth.
"Shush."

I slowly lifted my hand away from her mouth.

"Y/n!" she yelled, standing up.
People began looking at her.

"Sit down!" I said, pulling her back down to her seat.

"Oh geez, is my little baby finally getting a boyfriend."
"No, now shush." I laughed.

"Dude, you know what this means, right?"
"What?"
"You both like each other!"
"So?"
"So ask him out!"
"No, no, no. I am not going to ask him out."
"Why not?"

"Because I'm not ready for that!"

"Hey." I heard someone say, sitting down next to me.
I nearly choked on my water when I saw who it was.

"Hey." I smiled at him.
"Hi, Ruel," Y/b/f/n said. "I'm going to get some ketchup, I'll be right back."
I watched as she stood up and left.

"So, y/n, I was wondering if you were free after practice?"
"Oh, um, yeah, after practice I have this thing I have to do-"
"Also, she is free after practice!" Y/b/f/n said, running back to us and then leaving again.

He looked at me, confused.

"Are you really busy? Or are you lying?"
"Wait, no, Ruel, I do have this thing-"
"So she's lying?"
"I didn't tell her."
"Mhm."

"Listen-"
"Well whenever you're free next time, let me know. I think you're really cute." Ruel said, smiling and standing up.
"Wait, Ruel-"
"I'll see you later."

I watched as he walked away, leaving me a flustered mess.
