Pregnant | Arthur Fleck

"Positive" you read as you threw the pregnancy tester across the room
"This is all my fault!" I sighed in frustration then I heard;
"Love I'm home! where are you?" Arthur asked as I heard the door open, I was so shaken up at this point. I walked out of the bathroom to find Arthur sitting on the coach watching tv.
"There you are princess" he smiled as he held his hand out I placed my hand into his palm he pulled me forward
"How was your day?" He asked
I was just too busy thinking about the fact that I'm fucking pregnant!
"Yeah and you?" I asked
Arthur frowned
"Is everything okay love?" Arthur asked looking rather confused at this point
"Yeah I'm just tired" I lied as I hugged him tight making sure he doesn't ask anymore questions.
"alright sleepyhead" he laughed as he lifted me up and took me upstairs. He placed me onto the bed.
"Y/n today was just too long" he said
"How?" I asked
"I had been dancing around in those massive shoes for hours" he yawned
"Who's the sleepyhead now?" I giggled
"Come here!" He smirked as he pulled me forward against his chest
"Honey switch the bathroom light off at least" he said as he walked over to turn it off, just then his foot stepped on something. He looked down and picked it up. He realised it was a pregnancy test. He looked straight up at y/n, as he jumped out of bed making her way towards Arthur.
"Y-you're pregnant?" he asked with such a confusing tone...I couldn't tell if he was excited or just...disappointed
"I-I...y-yes" I stuttered
"OH MY GOSH Y/N" he yelled with excitement as he lifted me up and spun me around
I wasn't as happy...I was just shocked and afraid. I didn't know I mean I should've expected this besides me and Arthur have been together for nearly 4 years now but still that's not the point. I was just worried I might fail as a mother.
"Honey you don't look happy?" Arthur asked as he placed me into his lap as he sat on the bed
"Honestly it's just I'm afraid that I might fail as a mother" I sighed
"Ofcourse you won't, don't be afraid" he smiled as he kissed me on the cheek
"Listen I'll even take off days from work and help you, you're never alone Princess" he smiled
