In The Maze

I wake up that morning and almost jump out of my skin when I see Newt 's face so close.

I grin and lay back down.

A little while later Newt wakes up and stretches.

"Want to go get some food?" He asks.

"Sure." I say and we go and get some food.

"Well, I have to say all of you didn't over do it when you said Frypan made good bacon." I laugh.

"No we didn't."

It has been a week, most things have been normal, everyday I watch the runners run out into the maze. I watch them come back too.

One night I go over to where we keep the weapons and stash some of them in a bush by on of the entrances to the maze.

Then I walk to the deadheads.

I climb up into a tree and look at the sky. I can't help thinking about who else is looking at the sky.

All of a sudden I hear laughter from deeper in the forest.

I slowly slid down the tree and sneek into the forest.

Deeper and deeper towards the laughter.

Then I see Minho.

"Where did you go!" Was that Ashley?

"Somewhere." Minho responds.

He walks towards me but I don't think he sees me so I dive around the tree to keep hidden.

I watch Minho sneek up on Ashley. He puts his chin of her shoulder. She jumps then laughs as Minho hugs her.

Aww they make a good couple. But yet Minho did say that me and Newt were dating even though we are just friends, I don't think he told anyone that but still.

"AWWW the couple of the glade, can't wait to tell everyone." I lean out from behind the tree.

"Greenie!" Minho yells. "Don't you dare."

"Can't tame me!" I yell and run away from them.

"Shuck-face!" I hear Minho yell, he must be following me.

I make it you of the deadheads and keep running into the field.

Newt is in the field.

"Greenie?" He asks and grabs my hand when I run by him, stoping me.

I scream a little, "No, he is comming!"
I say through my laughing.

"Who?" He asks but Minho sprints out of the forest. "What happened?"

I scream again, twist out of Newt's grasp and start to run again, laughing.

I run through a small little area where people are gathered and stop trying to blend in.

I see Minho run into the area look around.

Shuck he knows I'm in here.

I bend down and try to hide.

He walks towards me again, oh god, he sees me.

I let out a scream and run again. This time towards the deadheads again.

Once I reach the forest I head towards where I saw them.

I find a tree and fling myself up it, fast.

"Where are you greenie." He says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Are you going to tell everyone?" He asks.

"No." I say back.

"Ok because do you know what Newt would do if he found out?" He asks me.

"Laugh." I laugh.

"That may be true you shank." He laughs. "Now go away."

"Fine." I jump down from my tree.

"Oh and greenie." He calls.

"What?"

"You're fast." He grins and walks back into the trees.

I walk back to where I saw Newt .

"What was that?" He asks me.

"Oh nothing." I laugh.

"Will you tell me?" He asks.

"No probably not." I say.

"Fine." He sighs.

"Will I get it out of Minho?" He asks hopefully.

"Possibly." I say not knowing.

"Well I'll try to find out tomorrow." He sits down pulling me with him. "Oh, by the way." He gives me the hair bands and the brush.

"Thanks!" I say and pull my hair up into a ponny tail.

I fall asleep with Newt next to me again.

Newt wakes up before me and sneaks away. He probably needs to work. I walk to the kitchen and hand out food.

The runners come in and make sandwiches. Then they leave and wait for the doors to open.

This time I slip out of the kitchen and hide in the bush by the door.

They begin to slide open and I grab my weapons and wait for the runners to go in.

Once the crowd has cleared I wait one minute and step into the maze.
