This is my second night in the forest. Let's just say I'm starving.

Right now I'm in a tree debating if I should go like 5 meters into the maze and then walk out so people think that I am a goddess or something, that may not be the best thing to do.

I am in the tree when I hear a small sniffle, like someone crying.

I jump silently down from the tree. And follow the sound.

"Look Newt I'm sorry, but there was no way to save her." Minho says.

"There had to have been a way." Was Newt crying?

"She was cornered by a griever, what was I supposed to do?" Minho says.

"I don't know." Newt says. "Just, I want to be alone."

"Fine." Minho walks away.

He walks past me and I follow him.
When he is almost at the edge of the deadheads I clamp my hand over his mouth and drag him backwards.

He bites down on my hand.

"God Minho, you can bite." I complain.

He freezes and twist out of my arms.

"Mixy?" He says.

"Minho?" I mimic his tone.

"Are you really here?" He asks.

"I think so, I mean I may be on Mars but you know." I say.

"I can't believe it!" He says happily. "When did you get out?"

"That first night." I admit.

"Oh my god! We need to tell people!" He starts to run away but I catch his arm.

"Don't tell them. Not yet at least." I say.
He looks confused but then he shrugs then walks away.

I walk back to Newt. He is still on his branch.

"I said I want to be alone!" He says angrily.

"Well, I guess I can leave if you want." I grin.

He spins around so fast I'm surprised he didn't hurt himself.

"Mixy?" He ask quietly.

"Yea." I say.

He gets up and hugs me, I wasn't expecting that. I was expecting a lecture about how I wasn't supposed to leave.

"Mixy?" He mutters into my hair.

"Yea?" I ask him.

"Don't you ever do that again." He says, "Ever."

"I'm sorry." I say.

"No, I'm sorry." He replies.

"Why are you sorry?" I look up at him.

"Because I didn't see how much you wanted to be a runner." He explains, "If I had seen I could have had Minho take you out there or something."

"It isn't your fault Newt." I say.

"When did you get back?" He asks.

"The first night I was gone." I say.

"Why didn't you come out of the forest?!" He asks surprised.

"I didn't want to get banished." I say.

"You wouldn't have gotten banished." He says.

"I broke your number one rule, yes I would have, and I still will." I say.

"No you won't, I won't let anyone banish you." Newt says defensively.

"Thanks." I say sarcasticly.

"Oh, by the way, I'm not letting go of you." He grins.
