Roman crawls across the couch to land in Lisa's lap, and she lifts him to an upright seated position so he can see the TV properly. We've been babysitting the little boy for the last six months or so in exchange for Tiffany taking on some of Lisa's paranormal jobs. Nothing strenuous, just simple little things that anyone with a bit of magic could handle, really. Well, magic and a brain, which Tiffany has in spades. She didn't mind doing them, mostly because she got done with them quickly and efficiently. Having a babysitter for her little boy not just for when she took a mission but for when she needed to do things with her coven or simply needed her alone time was gold to her. Lisa was perfect for the job. Not to mention that Roman has been going through a rebellious stage and Lisa is the only one that can calm him. Tiffany caught on to that early and so our deal began. At first with Lisa simply saying yes to babysitting, but then it transforming to Tiffany offering to do small favors in thanks. Then it simply... evolved into a deal with a handshake and a kiss. It fit everyone and I surely didn't have an issue with it.

Roman was a nice addition to have around the apartment.

Lisa and I never ran away from the life like I had suggested a few months back. We couldn't. Well, we could, but then what? Lisa needed that close proximity to her kind and I couldn't wipe my brain of the new information I held. It would be plain stupid to walk away and pretend like nothing ever happened. Besides, we had friends here. Family. It was hard sometimes, but we created a system so our lives would be easier. I didn't mind staying, but I wasn't going to let either of us get so stressed we'd go insane.

GDragon got numerous volunteer recruits the night of my kidnapping. Some of them found meaning to their lives after fighting like warriors. Others simply wanted to help their own the best way they knew how. Even more... they wanted to dedicate themselves to doing what their hero, Lisa, was doing.

Lisa helped train those who decided to join GDragon so that they could go out with the correct training and skill. With so many willing to do good work, Lisa wasn't needed as much. Of course she was still number one, to everyone, but there was no point in having her in the field when there were so many more who were just as qualified. Lisa needed to be saved for things others couldn't touch. That- that freedom and extra time- was just the beginning of our easier lives.

The General respected Lisa all the more when he heard about her triumph over Jungkook and her people, and he begun only putting her on the most delicate of human-centric missions. They are few and far between, which is good for us. It gives us even more free time. We rarely get jobs now, and when we do, they're sensitive but relatively easy. Or at least easy for Lisa. She makes sure to do them quickly so we can get back home and get on with our lives.

It's been fabulous, really. All we do now is watch Roman when Tiffany asks us to, go out for fun, spend time together, and just generally be happy. We have so much down time that Lisa has started taking some of Jisoo's jobs so Jisoo can spend time with Emma. It's also to repay her for when she had to take on more jobs when Lisa started working for GDragon. All in all, our lives have improved exponentially. We could almost call ourselves normal.

"Bog!" Roman squeals, bouncing on Lisa's lap. There's a dog on TV and he's smiling and pointing at it.

He's become more talkative over the month or so and it's been a blast. Lisa tries to teach him words but he can barely pronounce any of them correctly, his speech impediment becoming obvious. It's adorable. It's healthy. I feared he would be completely traumatized after what happened to him with Jungkook's cult, but he's taken it all in stride. He's hitting the correct steps in childhood even if they're slow coming.

"That's right," Lisa says. "Woof!"

Roman bellows a cute little bark and I smile, but then my stomach turns and I gag a little. It has nothing to do with Roman or Lisa or the situation. I've just been feeling sick lately. I swear it was that orc soup that I took after a job simply to be polite. It must have given me a virus or something. I haven't been the same since that day.
