After we got ice cream, we went back immediately to the car and continued our way to our house.

I already finished mine so I was feeding Daniel his as he drove.

Daniel also told me that Derek left which was shocking.

"How can I eat when you're not feeding me the ice creeeam" he whined, making me laugh.
"Okay, okay. Here" I gave him his ice cream so he could drive with his free hand.

After a while of Daniel driving, sadly, we arrived at the place I once called home.

I let out a shaky breath then I felt Daniel hug me from behind.

"You can go in first, i'll come in when you call me" he said.

I nodded nervously and swallowed the lump in my throat.

"You can do this okay?" he said, before going inside the car again.

I walked towards the house and sighed before knocking thrice.

"Mom who is that?"

"Go get it i'm washing dishes"

"Fine"

I then heard footsteps coming forward.

"Who are yo— Samantha." Savannah welcomes me.

I couldn't keep myself from quickly hugging her.

Tears suddenly strolled to my cheeks.

She gently pushes my head on her chest tighter

"Oh my God where have you been?!" she exclaimed, cupping my cheeks.
"Who's at the doo— Samantha! Oh good Lord i'm so happy!" mom squeals, hugging me tight.
"I've missed you so much mom, you don't imagine" I cried.
"Where have you been for the last eight months honey? I thought we wouldn't celebrate Christmas together" mom wiped her cheeks.

Eight months passed like a blur.

I didn't even thought it was eight months.

I thought it was longer than that.

"I'm so sorry grandma Noella died because of me. I'm so sorry mom" I said.
"She had a heart attack, Sam. It's never your fault" she replied.
"How'd you know she died?" Savannah asked.
"I have a lot of explanation to do" I said.

We sat on our couch and I decided to tell them everything that happened from the supermarket, to this day.

"I'm gonna need time to process that, i'll be back" mom said as he sobbed and stood up to go to the kitchen.

Savannah just sniffs there.

"Is Daniel here with you?" she asked.

I nodded.

"God I need to see him" she said, and immediately stood up.

I knocked on the car door seeing Daniel on his phone.

"Daniel" Savannah cried, hugging him tightly as she could.
"I've missed you so much, though we just saw each other a week ago" she said.
"Thank you for taking care of Samantha, I owe you my life" she smiled.
"Thank you Savannah, for waiting for me" I said.
"I'm sorry for everything too. I didn't know you guys were together" she chuckled.
"It was my fault, i'm sorry" Daniel sighs.
"It's okay" Savannah and I replied in-sync.

Daniel laughs.

"That's the vibe right there" Daniel chuckled.
"Group hug!" Savannah said.

Daniel opens his arms and Savannah and I cuddled in his arms.

"You guys are the two people that I love the most" Daniel rubs our backs.
"I love you too Daniel" I smiled.
"I love you as well Daniel... as a future brother-in-law" Savannah smirks.

Daniel and I laughed.

"You should probably meet mom. She'd thank you for the rest of her life" Savannah said.
"Yeah, let's come inside." I said.
