Tenya isn't generally suspicious of his boyfriend despite how utterly shady half the things he does are. He lets him do his thing with the magazine and establish possibly-dangerous strangers he met in back alleys after getting mugged as contacts. He likes to think he's being fairly accepting, all things considered! Kit was comparable to a live wire. He sparked wildly, but was bright when he did it. It was one of the-- not to get too mushy-- many things Tenya loved about him. Kit was too blunt to doubt.

But right now? Tenya was on edge and waiting for the worst.

"What are you two hiding?" He asked, raising a brow down at both Izuku and Kit. Their freckled friend was twitching uncomfortably, and Kit's face was expertly fashioned into something blank. Too blank, if you asked Tenya. Where was that snarky smirk or that egotistical glint in his eyes? Something wasn't sitting right with the Iida teen. They were being too quiet. Kit hadn't dropped a single curse word or insult, and Izuku wasn't even rambling.

"Honestly, I won't lie to you. That dog I adopted? It's not a dog." Kit was just going to level with Tenya. Relationships were fueled by both honesty and loyalty, among other things. Lying or avoiding it wasn't going to get rid of Denise. There was no point in beating around the bush or even attempting to hide it. Tenya was going to flip his lid, and Kit and Izuku would both have to wince and bear with it. "It's a weird man-crow-monster that can't talk that we named Denise. He's in Izuku's bedroom."

Tenya stared at them for a moment, his head dipping in a slight manner that caused the light to reflect off his glasses. Izuku was horribly tense next to Kit, inching somewhat behind his brunette companion. Kit crossed his arms over his chest, leaning his weight onto one leg as he gazed up at his boyfriend, who was in the midst of processing. It was hard to get a read on how the taller teen was feeling, but Kit had a feeling it was nothing good. It's not like they could very well take Denise back to that alley and leave him there. Once you named something, it was yours. It was too late now. They'd even fed the thing.

"...Kit." Tenya said after a moment, voice tight. "Please tell me you're joking."

Kit's grin made Tenya's heart drop and soar at the same time, and the Iida grimaced. He had a feeling today wasn't going to be a very good day.

Denise was, quite literally, a weird man-crow-monster that couldn't talk. Only he was so much more horrifying in literally every way. From his hulking body to his exposed brain, there wasn't a single appealing thing about whatever the hell Kit had decided to drag into poor Izuku's home. The green-haired boy looked to be experiencing a mixture of pride and misery as Tenya blanched at the thing standing stationary in the corner of his room. It stared back with grotesque eyes, showing no real reaction to him being there. Kit was standing there, looking fairly nonchalant despite the beast standing next to him.

"Please tell me you're getting rid of him." Tenya said, voice so small it made Izuku visibly wince. Kit had the audacity to at least look sympathetic, but not sorry. Never sorry. Iida seemed to realize this, groaning and throwing his head back in a manner that would've been deemed dramatic were this literally any other situation. However, this time it seemed more than permitted.

"We already named him." Kit said, patting Denise's arm. Denise just stared at him, not moving otherwise. "Besides, he's harmless! He can be... security. Right, Denise."

Denise stared, and then nodded. Izuku gave the beast a thumbs up from behind Tenya. It stared, but didn't do anything else. Tenya pressed his lips together, but didn't say anything otherwise. Kit gave him a 'what-can-you-do' sort of smile and a shrug that made the Iida sigh and massage his temples to try and get his forming headache to go away. Izuku turned away to disguise his laugh as a cough. Tenya was horribly whipped, and it never failed to amuse Izuku to see it. Kit had a terrifying amount of control over the Iida boy.
