We went to the doctors and they couldn't find anything in my blood. Nothing! I went to several doctors only to hear them say the same thing. "We can't seem to find anything." I didn't know what to do. I still had rehearsals and shows to do. I can still sing and play my instruments I was real happy about that. "Yo my brotha I tried callin' you. You never answered." I looked at Dre who sat down with his bass guitar waiting for an answer. "I'll tell you later." He smirked and began playing the bass. "Who was the lucky lady?" I shook my head with a small smile. "It wasn't even like that. If I tell you, you won't believe it." After rehearsal, I went to my mother's house. "I was just comin' to see you. Come in." We walked in and sat down at the round table. "I know you went to numerous doctors, what did they say?" I shrugged my shoulders sliding down in the chair. Tyka walked in and just looked at me. "You ok Skipper?" I smirked giving her a hug. "They can't find anything in my blood and I'm healthy. They took a look at the bite marks on my neck. They checked to see what animal it was and to see if I have rabies. I don't. Ma I don't understand what happened." Suddenly faded into this daze about Elle again. "Well if they can't tell us nothing, we goin' to Lousiana." I took a sip of my hot chocolate looking at her confused. "Why Louisiana?" She sat her cup down and looked at us. "I know somebody down there can tell us what's wrong. Trust me, they know."

We went to Zakari's but he wasn't there. So instead we spent the night at my uncle Percy's house. "C'mon in. Ya aunt got food ready." We were so hungry and cold. After 5 minutes of laughter, we forgot all about the fight. We just felt good. While we were watching TV, my brother walked through the door. "What y'all doing here? Y'all bet not had ate up all that food cause I want some." My uncle laughed and Zakari kissed our aunt as he entered the kitchen. Aubrey and I were playing cards when Zakari came from around the corner. "Gina said all that to you?" I could tell just by the reflection in his voice he was not pleased. "Yeah." He shook his head while eating his potatoes. "That woman been off since before time. I see you got y'all's clothes packed. You moved out?" We nodded. "They have to go with you because I got work tomorrow at 5 and I can't take her to school. Ya aunt got a doctor's appointment." He nodded as he sat down at the table with my aunt. After being there all day, we walked outside and saw his new black Coupe Deville.

We arrived at his house and unloaded the car. We walked in and I found a bedroom in the back with a window looking out at the backyard. You can see everything. "Move ya ass baby this my room." I moved her suitcase from my bed and sat it on the floor. Zakari walked in and laughed. "Actually, y'all two gone have to share this one. See, I turned the other bedroom into a workout space. Sorry bout that." We looked at eachother and back to him. "Where y'all went to after the argument?" I opened my suitcase taking out my photo albums. "We came here but you were gone." He nodded as he began play fighting with Aubrey. "I'll be back I'm gone got get y'all some foo foo shit." I laughed because I thought I had an idea of what he was saying. "Ya know that foo foo shit y'all like. With that fur?" We looked at each other and burst into laughter. "Oh well hell baby ya knew what I was talkin' bout." He playfully hit us and left. We unpacked and made ourselves comfortable in our new room.
Elle he's coming. He's coming. He's coming soon. He's coming soon.
"Elle!" She looked at me, shaking my hand. She picked up a piece of paper and looked at it. She handed it to me with that same concerned look. "You just wrote this. Who's comin'?" I didn't realized I wrote 'he's coming' on the paper about 5 times. I don't remember picking up the pen let alone how the paper got there.

December 27th, we flew down to New Orleans but I wasn't feeling my best. We got there at 2AM and checked in to a hotel. Avoiding pictures and autographs, I quickly made my way into the elevator.
How does she think that somebody down here knows something? We made it to our hotel suite and I flopped down on the queen sized bed next to the window. The next morning I woke up to my mother staring at me. "C'mon and eat." I sat up slowly looking at the 3 pieces of bacon, eggs, and the pancakes. After eating we stayed in the hotel suite until 3 that afternoon. "Let's go." I drove around and it felt like forever until she told me to stop. There was this tent-like set up outside by a lake. "Ma what is this?" She grabbed my hand as we walked over to this mysterious scene. "Come. Viens." She moved the sheet and there was this lady with silver hair and jars filled with random things. Her eyes were brown and her skin, smooth. She looked up at us and then to me.
"O Bondye! It is you!" My mother looked at me and rubbed my shoulders. "Li ou. Ban mwen men ou." I looked at them in utter confusion. "She said give her your hands." I shook my head, annoyed by it all. "Give me ya hand." After a moment, I gave her my hand. She looked at it and felt my arm. Suddenly her gaze went to my neck. "Turn round." I turned and her eyes widened. She grabbed a small black bag and dumped it onto the unstable red table. Bones fell from this bag. Small bones!! She moved them around and looked at us. Tyka grabbed my arm tighter, moving closer to me. "Li te ti jan pa yon baton!!" My mother shot a look at me that I'll never forget. "What is she saying?! What is it?!" Only a single tear rolled down her face. "You were bit by....a bat." I looked at this mysterious woman who only looked at my neck as she began to speak once more. "You have to have blood. It can come from dead person or someone alive." Shaking my head I stood up not wanting her to carry on. "If you don't, you get weaker and weaker. You have to have it." Tyka hugged me with tears in her eyes. The many thoughts ran through my mind. Blood from someone dead or alive? I don't think so!
"Timoun chita." I looked at my mother for translation. "Sit child." Slowly doing as told, I sat down in the white plastic chair that was beginning to sink into the grass. "Nou pa fè. You half vampire, yes? Not full blood."

What in the hot hell is goin' on?!!!
