Alex didn't come to until later that night. Barry had stopped by her apartment when she wasn't answering her calls. It was a good thing he had too, she had a pretty bad hit to her head. He noticed she was quieter than usual, and he was sure that it wasn't because of the damage done to her.

She promised that she was perfectly fine – which she truly did feel. The back of her head was neither bleeding nor swollen and she wasn't worried that she received a concussion. Mick Rory had one hell of a hit, but Alex was tough. Barry argued that she should see Caitlin, but in the end she managed to avoid it.

They had more important things to discuss. Like the fact that he and Joe were in the midst of a conversation about Harrison Wells when Barry checked on her. She had a lot of stuff to say about him and wanted to be a part of the conversation. Especially if they were throwing blame in his direction.

What Barry didn't know was the conversation that she had previously. The thought of becoming a criminal again gave her one hell of an excitement. Alexandra didn't need him thinking that her loyalty was wavering. It wasn't. She was going to stick by Barry's side, no matter what. The bridge of trust had went both ways.

Alex trusted Barry, she really did. And promising him that she would help him catch the man who killed his mother was the seal of the envelope. She couldn't abandon him, not after everything they went through together. They were a team; friends.

Barry and Alex raced back to CCPD where Joe was waiting in Barry's lab. They had been up all night talking about what they knew about Wells. The bulletin board was filled with notes and pictures about him and the night of Nora Allen's murder. All in all, there wasn't a whole lot about Harrison.

"Wells once said that he needed more speed from me," Barry commented. They had been talking for nearly an hour since Alex arrived. Each connection they made seem to lead to another dead end. The only thing that made sense was the coincidences that Wells brought. "I don't know why."

"But he wants something else from you, Barry," Alex had her feet propped up on his computer desk with a cup of coffee in her hand. "We just need to figure out what that is."

"Well, let's go get him then. Let's get some answers," Barry jumped up. He was previously leaning by Alex's legs but was to antsy to stay still. If Wells wasn't who he said he was then he wanted to know as soon as possible.

"We can't, and you know it. Joe would agree with me; you can't just bust the person who might not have anything to do with it. And as much as I want to believe Wells is guilty, there's still that chance he isn't," Alexandra sighed. Joe nodded his head at her thought process.

The cup of hot coffee was raised to her lips, but never met them. A sharp pain hit her head and for a moment she though that her migraines had returned. The pain grew until the cup dropped from her hands and spilled across the floor while she was gripping her head in pain. "Alex!"

Her eyes snapped shut; images passed behind her eyelids. A memory, one that was not her own, but she was still in it. It was present day Central City, Alex was in an old apartment – one she didn't recognize. Blood dripped from down her chest, as well as from the corner of her lips. She was dying, that she knew.

Barry was there, his flash suit on but his mask off. Tears fell down his cheeks, and he was trying his best not to lose himself in a complete mess. Blood covered his suit as he tried to stop the bleeding, but it was no use. He had already tried picking her up to being her to the hospital but she had screamed the moment he tried.

"No, No, please no!" Barry cried. "Hang on, okay Alex. An ambulance is on its way. You're going to be okay."

"Barry," Alex stuttered out his name, followed by blood erupting from her mouth. "You saved me, remember that. You saved me in more ways than you could ever imagine and I will forever be thankful. We're a great team, me and you."
