Peter's Pov:

"Arent we high enough?" Lucas asked Dustin as we all followed him up a hill, each of us carrying parts for his Cerebro. "Cerebro works best at a hundred meters" Dustin explained to Lucas. "You know, I'm pretty sure people in Utah have telephones," Max said, with a tone of annoyance in her voice. "Yeah, but Suzie's Mormon," Dustin told her. "Oh shit, she doesn't have electricity?" Lucas asked, almost surprised. Max, still annoyed replied, "Oh, that's the Amish". "What are Mormons?" Will asked. "Super religious white people. They have electricity and cars and stuff, but since I'm not Mormon, her parents would never approve. It's all a bit... Shakespearean" Dustin explained. "Shakespearean?" Max asked, chuckling lightly. "Yeah. Like Romeo and Juliet" "Right" "Star-crossed lovers" "I got it" Dustin and Max went back and forth. "Hey, guys!" Mike yelled and we all came to a halt and looked at Mike and El who were both a little further down the hill. "This is fun and all, but, uh.." Mike spoke then pointed at his watch. "I have to go home," El said. "We're almost there" There was slight annoyance in Dustin's voice. "Sorry, man. Curfew" Mike explained. He grabbed El's hand. "Good luck," El said before running off laughing with Mike. "Curfew at 4:00?" Dustin looked at his watch. "They're lying," Lucas said. "It's been like this all summer" Will explained. "It's romantic," Max said. "It's cute" I smiled softly then looked at Will. "It's gross," He said then smiled back at me. "It's bullshit. I just got home. Well, their loss, right? Onwards and upwards! Suzie awaits!" Dustin said, continuing up the hill. We all groaned and followed him. After a few steps, I noticed Will wasn't following. He stood still with a worried look on his face and touched the back of his neck just like at the movies yesterday. "Will, is everything okay?" I asked him, touching his arm softly. He looked at me, putting a soft smile on his face and nodded gently, before grabbing my hand. I smiled back at him and we gazed into each other's eyes. "Will, Peter, come on!" Dustin yelled and ruined our moment. We ran up the hill, catching up with the rest of the group.

"Made it," Dustin said as we got to the top of the hill and he placed his bag down. "Yeah, only took 5 hours" Max explained as the rest of us placed the bags we were carrying on the ground, panting. "Why couldn't we just play DnD?" Will asked, out of breath. Will and I started to help Dustin set his Cerebro up with Max and Lucas joining soon after.

Once we had the whole thing set up, we stepped back to look at the whole thing. "Pretty impressive, right?" Dustin said, proudly and Max nodded a little "Yeah". "Now, are you ready to meet my love?" Dustin asked and sat down on the grass. "M'kay sure" Max mumbled along with Lucas mumbling "yeah". Dustin started speaking into the walkie talkie. "Suzie, this is Dustin, do you copy? Over." Dustin spoke and there was no answer. "I'm sure shes there... maybe she's like busy. It's around dinner time... here" Dustin mumbled and we all nodded and rolled our eyes a little.

Dustin had been trying to get ahold of Suzie for awhile. Max was laying next to Lucas and I had my head on Will's stomach. The sun had set and Suzie still wasn't answering. "Dustin, come on. She's not there" Max finally spoke. "She's there, okay? She'll pick up" Dustin responded, annoyed and Will sat up a little with me still on top of him "Maybe Cerebro doesn't work" Will said. "Or maybe Suzie doesn't exist" Lucas added, with a hint of annoyance in his tone and Dustin responded in a higher pitched voice "She exists!" "She's a genius and she's hotter than Phoebe Cates? No girl is that perfect" Lucas sat up a little and then Max sat up. "Is that so?" She asked Lucas then he sat up fully. "I mean... you're perfect. I mean, like, per-perfect in your own way. In your special- your own special way" Lucas stammered and Will and I laughed a little. Max chuckled softly "Relax, I was teasing. I'm obviously perfect and Dustin's obviously lying. Come on, Don Juan" Max and Lucas stood up, hand in hand and started running down the hill. " Where are you going?" Dustin yelled and Max responded "Home". "Welp... guess it's just you two and me, guys" Dustin said, watching Lucas and Max leave and Will stood up, leaving me on the ground. "Um... it's late. Sorry. Maybe tomorrow we can play Dnd or something fun like we used to?" Will told Dustin and he nodded a little "Yeah, sure". "Welcome home" Will gave Dustin a smile then quickly kissed me on the cheek before running down the hill. Dustin watched Will leave then he turned to me still on the ground. Just as he was about to sit next to me, we heard a noise coming from the walkie talkie. "What was that?" I asked and sat up fully. Dustin grabbed it and started yelling Suzies name into it. "I don't think that's Suzie" I said and sat next to Dustin. He turned up the volume and listened to it, closely. We listened to the rest of it then looked at each other. "That is definitely not english" I mumbled and Dustin shook his head a little. "We have to tell Steve about this in the morning" Dustin said, once it ended. "What is Steve gonna do, though?" I asked. "Maybe he can help us with the translation" Dustin explained and I nodded a little. We both grabbed our bags and ran down the hill. Once we got to our bikes, I looked at
Dustin before getting on my bike and smiled "I'll meet you at the mall tomorrow" I said and he smiled. We waved goodbye to  each other before riding away in different directions towards our houses, well Will's house for me. Tomorrow was going to be a long day.
