Ember's pov

We got back to Devan's apartment and I took out my hair. I had creases from how tight I had my hair ties. When I took them out my scalp itched. I ran my fingers through my hair to smooth it out. I jumped into the shower real quick to washout my hairspray. When I got out I walked to Devans room. I sat down on his bed next to him.

When he opened his mouth to ask he question his eyes shined "are you ready?"

"Yes I am," I smiled

It was the 31st of October. We had five days til we'd be married. November 5th.

"I hope you know that I love you and that I'd never want to marry anyone else." He said pulling me closer and dropping his tone quieter

"I know this." I told him "that's why I didn't run away when I had chances," I smirked

"Oh no you don't," he said grabbing my waist as I tried to get up.

He pulled me back to the bed and tickled my sides causing me to burst into laughter. This was us. We were dorky and weird but we are tough as stone and hard to break. And we wouldn't have it any other way.
