Circles

I keep going back in circles with you
How long will it take?
How far in should we go?

It's strangely calm how I let these sweet thoughts of you slide into me
Always wanting the smell of your perfume
A little more sweet taste of your lips
Soaking sweat from under the bed covers
Panting rhythm of our bodies connecting
As you say, as far as we can we go

I wish I knew how to stay away
The further we go, the deeper the emotions
More difficult it is to contain our cravings
The needing for the touch
The endless kissing scenes

Putting pause at every stage will break us
We always go back in circles to repeat it all
Because we don't want to forget
We don't want to stay away
We create an infinite story

We're reckless adults, you say
Most times it is what makes us want more
Therefore the cycle never ends
The day it cracks in two, would be the day we become strangers to each other,
and our bodies are no longer connecting.
