Raven's POV

HINDI ako makapaniwala sa aking mga narinig. This curse was not given by nature, but by human. I am trying to understand the side of tito Solomon kung bakit hindi niya tinulungan si Mr. Brookes, when his child, Ayesha is dying, but instead he pushed him away.

Now, I see the reason why Mr. Brookes turned to be a bad person. He was just driven by hate and anger and he wanted revenge. Sa sinabi niya ay namatay ang kanyang anak. Hindi nito kinaya ang pagbabago ng katawan, her brain bled too much.

Kaya nagalit si Mr. Brookes at mas lalong tumindi ang galit niya ng malaman niya na may mga nakaligtas. He thought that tito Solomon helped selected kids to survive, but not his child.

"Now, you know why am I doing this. Because the existence of eons is the proof that my child was forsaken. Every time I see an eon, it will crawl into my memories how my daughter died and I can't even do anything. Now tell me, am I really the bad one here? Am I the one who got selfish from saving the forsaken children who died because of their selfishness?! He could have help my daughter, but he did not." Bulyaw nito sa akin at tumulo na ang kanyang mga luha. His pain is too heavy. "I was a useless father to her, when I cannot even do anything to save her."

Hindi ako makasagot. We all have different pains. Kagaya ng sa akin, I did seek revenge because my mother was killed. His situation is the same, he's seeking revenge for his daughter.

Pero sa utak ko ay parehong mali ang dalawa. Tito Solomon could have helped all the children who got infected, but he refused. Mr. Brookes can just take his revenge directly to tito Solomon, but he didn't but instead, terrorizing the whole eons and inflicting harm to innocent. Both of them did wrong.

"I understand why you feel that way. But neither of us chose to have this fate. A world where only about revenge. Do you think, Ayesha will be happy when she see you like this? You are destroying your life, for a life you can never take back." The place went dead silence.

Kahit si Mr. Brookes ay hindi nakapagsalita. Did I hit a nerve?

"R-right... I can never take her life back, but I won't regret doing all of this." He said with determination in his eyes. "Now." At pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon ay biglang may tumama na lang sa aking leeg na pakiramdam ko ay kinagat ko ng isang bubuyog.

Agad na napahawak ako sa aking leeg at agad na nahawakan ko ang isang bagay na nakatusok doon. Mabilis na binunot ko iyon at napapikit ako dahil sa sakit.

Tiningnan ko kung ano iyon. Para itong isang maliit na vial na may matulis na karayum sa dulo. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang tawag doon dahil ngayon lang ako nakakita ng ganoon.

"A-ano..." Hindi ko maituloy ang sasabihin ko ng makaramdam ako ng hilo at pamamanhid ng aking leeg.

"Don't worry, it's not a poison. It will only make you sleep, Raven. But the next time you'll wake up, you are already under my control. Let see if you can withstand the effect of the Gen X Pathogen."

Naramdaman ko na lang ang pagbagsak ng katawan ko at kahit anong gusto kong gawin galaw ay ayaw sumunod ng aking katawan. Nanlalabo na din ang aking mga mata hanggang sa tuluyan na akong walang maramdaman.

Third Person's POV

Halos halughogin na ni Vander ang buong Metropolis ng hanggang sa mga oras na ito ay hindi pa umuuwi si Raven. Nawala ito kanina dahil tinakasan siya nito.

Hindi niya inakala na talagang matatakasan siya ni Raven. He was too confident that he will be able to track her down, pero nagkamali siya. She's gone without a trace at hindi niya alam kung saan niya ito hahanapin.
