Chapter 21: Justice

A week went by, and I went to the hospital to check on Aaron. I keep coming every day and it's the same.

Today mom called me and told me it was an emergency. My heart was racing really fast.

"I'm here what-"

"Hey baby sis."

"Oh my God Aaron!!" I hugged him lightly and cried. " You're awake. I thought you hated me when I didn't hear from you."

"I went to look for you and before I knew it a car crashed into mine." He wiped my tears. "I don't hate you, whatever you did, that was the past."

"I missed you."

"Me too." He smiled.

"Aaron my man, you're up." We turned to see uncle Cole and Aunt Bella.

"I can't believe you two are here." He said as he smiled at them. They went to hug him.

I was so happy he woke up. Life is not the same without my brother.

January came and the Bakery was still getting remodeled. I couldn't wait to see it finished. I already have my staff. Trisha, Aria and Jackson.

Sapphi and Maggie were still trying to get Rosalinda to spill everything.

I was watching a movie with Ricardo when there was a loud knock on the door. I heard two female voices screaming. I knew who they belong to. I open it and they walked inside.

"We have it, we recorded her and we have the proof that she exposed you and her mom hired someone to kill your brother the night of the event. And  she said she doesn't know how but they will find a way to poison your mom and get a hold of all her unpublished works." Maggie told me and my blood started to boil.

"And her mom hired someone the day of your mom's event, remember the one where there were shootings." Sapphi mentioned.

"Send it to me, it's time these two crazy bitches go to jail and stop threatening our lives." I said with so much anger.

"I'll go call your uncle and tell him you're ready to go live." Ricardo said before going to the bedroom.

"Girls, I can't thank you enough." I hugged them.

"Well, we owe it to you, plus you're like our sister and we love you and your family." Maggie said as Sapphi nodded. I smiled.

We arrived at the New York News and when the camera hit me, it was time to put an end to everything.

"I'm Chantelle Black, I have been attacked on social media, about my videos. But those were years ago. Rosalinda Johnson. You all know her. She exposed those videos and violated my privacy all with some girl named Linda."

"Rosalinda and her mother plotted against my brother and hired someone to kill him, that person crashed his car against my brother's putting him into a coma. Luckily, he woke up last month. And they want to kill my mother with venom and take all of her unpublished works and put it as her own. Don't believe me, here."

They played the recording and everything was said. Since it was a live show, they showed a reporter on Rosalinda's house and they were handcuffing them and putting them in the police car. And then another video of Linda also getting arrested. Ah beautiful justice.

After everything, we left the news and went to my parents' house for a dinner celebration that things are finally back to normal and no more crazy bitches on the loose.

"Ricardo, I have a very serious question about you and my daughter." Dad said to him.

"Yes?"

"How do you see you and Chantelle in five years?"

"Well, we talked about this already with her, but I see myself married, with kids. I love Chantelle. Even though she was a little pain in my butt when I first met her, she became my whole world, and when the time is right, I'll make her my wife." He replied to my dad as I smiled.

Dad just smiled and said, "good answer, but don't hurt her."

"I won't." He interlaced our fingers.

"Ricardo and I will work side by side at the new bakery. We already have in mind who will join us and be part of the bakery." I told him.

"I'm proud of you two." Mom told us, "Just no babies for now, I want you first to graduate and then have a family."

"No worries there, we're being safe." I said as dad shook his head.

I just chuckled.

After spending time with my family, we went to our apartment and laid in bed.

"I think we should find a new apartment. And when we decide to have kids, we can move to a house. What do you say?"

I got on top of him and said, "I think it's brilliant, I love this little apartment it's like our little love nest." I chuckled as he did too, "but I also think it's time to move to a better apartment. I have my savings and with yours we can afford it."

"Sounds like a plan. Such grown-ups." He said causing me to laugh.

"I love you, you goof." I pressed my lips against his.

"I love you too." And with that said, we made love all night.

I want everything with Ricardo. And I can't wait for us to graduate and have a family. It's always been my dream to have a family of my own with a great guy. And Ricardo is the one I want.
