"Thank you! Have a nice day!" I say to the cashier as I grab the coffees from the counter and head out the cafe door.
I speed walk back to the hotel entrance since I know all too well what a caffeine deficient Kelley is like, and anyone would feel sorry for whoever has to stay with her.
I jog around the corner to see Kelley lying on the floor making snow angles in the nonexistent snow.
"Coffees here!" I shout making Kelley jump up and run straight at me
"Gimme gimme" She says as I quickly hand off her drink and watch her practically down half of it in about two seconds.
"Thank God you're back, I don't know how much longer I could cope with her," Alex says taking her drink
"I'm sorry the queue was taking forever and there was definitely a Karen at the front complaining," I say giving her a small smile
"well I'm glad your here now," She says looking at me in a weird way
"what?" I ask confused
"Nothing, I'm just happy," She says flashing me that smile of hers that manages to make my knees go weak
"I would most definitely kiss you right now because that was incredibly cute" I whisper in her ear and watch as her cheeks blush a little.
"Are you two going to chat all day, or can I have my coffee now please?" Ali says from where's she's sitting down next to Mal and Alyssa
"so sorry m'lady, I'll bring it right over to you now" I say in an exaggeration British accent
"here you go m'lady, one iced latte," I say kneeling down on one knee and presenting it above my head
"Okay, okay, thank you for getting it" Ali says rolling her eyes at my antics
"Here is your Cortado Alyssa," I say handing over the hot drink to the other goalie
"Thanks Toni, how much do I owe you?" She asks me
"Nothing, my treat for everyone," I say smiling at the older woman
"Thank you," She says and happily takes a sip of her warm drink
"When is everyone else arriving?" I ask turning to Alex
"Pinoe's and Allie's flight landed about 30 minutes ago so they should be here soon and I know Christen, Tobin, Lindsey, Sonnett and Franch should land in 10 minutes or so. Then the others are a bit spread out through the day, kind of how things work out the first day here" Alex tells me, I nod my head trying to take it all in
"Stop worrying so much, you'll get the flow of things pretty quickly, I promise and I'll be here to help you the whole time" Alex whispers to me.
"Right, thanks Lex," I say to her
She just smiles at me and goes over to where Ali and Alyssa are talking, I can't help but smile at seeing how happy she is here and looking forward to my week with the team
