S T E V E

Five months. It's been five months since our wedding and five months without any incidents. The death stone seems to be at bay. Perhaps when the Reality Stone exploded, it destroyed the death stone along with it. Still, none of us have been able to let our guard down.

"You're making that face again." Camille reaches over to smooth out the wrinkle that has formed between my brows. "Keep it up, old man and you'll be looking your age in no time."

I smile at her teasing, leaning over the kitchen island to plant a kiss on the tip of her nose. Even now, the weight of my wedding band on my ring finger is a sensation to get used to- more so because it all still feels so surreal.

"Hey, you're the one who'll be stuck staring at a wrinkly version of me." I point out, making Camille wrinkle her nose at me as she steals a piece of bacon off my plate.

She stares at the strip of bacon thoughtfully before popping it into her mouth, "Do you think bacon goes well with chocolate?"

"You know, they say weird cravings are a sign of pregnancy, right?"

I lean forward, raising a brow at her. On top of her weird cravings- take having mayonnaise with her mac and cheese for example- She was also late, but she remains as stubborn as ever.

Camille rolls her eyes at me, "I am not pregnant."

"Sure, so a pregnancy test won't hurt," I say with a sheepish smile.

"Steve Rogers, what the hell did you do?" She narrows her eyes at me.

As if on cue, I hear cars pull up in our driveway and Camille shoots me a glare, "Who did you call?"

" I called Bucky this morning and asked him to pick up some pregnancy tests and he may or may not have told the rest of the team."

"Steve-"

My lecture is cut short with Clint bounding into our house with the rest of the team following closely behind him.

"Cam, you're pregnant?" He exclaims.

"I am not!" Cam yells, shooting daggers at me with her eyes.

Bucky saunters over just as she answers, dropping a big bag of pregnancy tests in front of her.

"Buck, how many did you buy?" I ask.

Bucky shrugs, "About ten. You can never be too sure."

"Oh seriously guys, shut up and let her take the damn test!" Nat scolds, shoving a pregnancy kit into Cam's hands. "Go. I want to know if I'm going to become an Aunt soon."

"This is ridiculous!" Cam argues, "If anybody should know if I'm pregnant it would be me and I don't feel pregnant."

"Pepper didn't feel pregnant either." Tony interjects, "And look where that brought us."

"Just take the test, Cam. Please." I shoot her the most innocent smile I can manage.

She sighs, rolling her eyes. "Fine. Just for the record, I would've felt more comfortable if the whole team wasn't waiting outside for me."
