Chapter 16: All Charged Up

After our match, Team RWBY and Team JNPR were there to congratulate us on our win. "Wow! You guys did great!" Ruby said as Ren added on. "Especially considering you were outnumbered 4 to 2." Pyrrha then speaks. "I can't wait to see what you two accomplish in the 2v2s. Anyways, we gotta get to our match now" "Good luck!" Neo and I said at the same time, to which we look at each other and laugh. We then get to our seats to watch Team JNPR fight.

The match between the two teams was even for both of them...until Nolan charged up Nora's semblance by using his taser baton, which caused him to get hit by an empowered smash from her hammer. That had to hurt. In the end, Nora got powered up by a storm cloud, finishing the battle with a smash from her hammer. This caused Professor Port to say. "And with that, it appears Team JNPR wins by knockout. Literally. Can someone go make sure their ok?" 

The next match was Team NDGO vs Team SSSN. Weiss wished Neptune good luck...and then he saw the opposing team. "Oh dear god why?" I said, which made Neo confused. I look at her and say. "Neptune has a thing for flirting...which is why.." I point at Weiss, who now wants Team NDGO to beat up Neptune for, well, flirting. We then see the terrain change, one full of sand, the other full of...water...which Neptune is afraid of. That's a bit ironic... Anyways, the match starts by Neptune taking off to the sandy side of the arena and Sage being carried out by a whirlwind from Team NDGO, bringing it to a 3v4. Neptune then helps Sun by distracting one of Team NDGO with a shot from his gun, giving Sun time to make a devastating combo, making it an even fight again. A whirlwind then brings Scarlet away, but he lands in the shipwreck half, fighting against another girl, making them fall. He then hooks another with his weapon, bringing her up while he goes down. This cause the daggers in her dress to almost hit him, but they missed. I then see Sun with two coconuts in his hand, throwing them at another girl, but she sent them back and hit Scarlet in the face and the....oh...that looks like it hurt. She then sends whirlwinds at him, forcing him to dodge. The other two girls then recovered and got back into battle, bringing it to a 3v1 basically, since Neptune was too afraid to go to the water. Then as one of the girls jumped to deal a blow on Sun, Neptune blasted them, then changed his weapon into a trident, electrifying the water and giving them the win. We were then told that the matches for today were done, so we went to go congratulate them. Except Ruby and Weiss, which went somewhere else. 

"Congrats on the win you guys" I said to Team SSSN as they recovered a few minutes ago. "Thanks Sherbet" Sun says. Neptune then looked at my sister and was about to say something, but I put a hand on his shoulder I used my semblance to make my eyes look red. "Flirt with my sister, and you will think hell is an amusement park compared to what I would do" I said quietly, which made him back off as I shut off my semblance. "Oh, Scarlet, are you doing ok? That last hit didn't look like it felt good" "Oh, yeah...that was super painful.." "I bet" I patted him on the shoulder as we talked for a bit more before leaving.

Neo and I were in our room later that day. "Alright Neo, tomorrow we have a fair fight, since it's down to 2v2s. We may have a chance to use some team attacks we worked on" "Mhm, that girl that went against me on her own didn't know who she was messing with" "I'm glad you held your own, but that doesn't mean we're in the green yet. We still need to win this round and one of us needs to win the next, but we'll worry about the 1v1 battles if we win" "Right" "For now, we need to get some rest for tomorrow" "Ok, good night brother" "Good night" We hug each other and go to our beds. We decided to have mine on one side and Neo's on the other. If we have the space, then it would be a waste not to use it. After the light is turned off, I close my eyes and go to sleep.

The next day was the day of the 2v2 battles. From what I know, all four of the teams from Beacon made it to the 2v2 round. Team SHNP, Team RWBY, Team JNPR, and Team CFVY. Team RWBY has Weiss and Yang battling for them. Team JNPR has Pyrrha and Nora. And Team CFVY has Coco and Yatsuhashi. Speaking of the last two, they are battling right now against a team from Haven, though I can't remember their names. The first thing I see when the match starts is the opposing two backing into the grass. Coco then transforms her weapon into her gatling gun and shoots at the grass, most likely to reveal their location. It all went downhill from there, ending with Team CFVY getting defeated. I see that Velvet is worried about them. "We should go see if they're ok" I say, but I'm stopped by Oobleck announcing. "The next match will be Team SHNP from Beacon vs. Coral and Aqua from Team CORL (Coral)!" "Sorry guys..." Velvet then spoke up. "I-It's ok Sherbet, you have this match to worry about, good luck to you both" "Thank you Velvet" Both Neo and I said at the same time, then laughed a bit. Blake then grabbed my hand. "Be safe, I know you can win" She then kisses me. "Thank you, my adorable kitty. I'll do my best." With that, we went to prepare for our battle.

We were walking into the arena for our battle. We both readied our weapons. The area around us changed to four different areas. A forest, a tundra again, a dessert, and a mountain. One of our opponents was a girl with blue hair and blue eyes...while the other was a guy with coral colored hair and pink eyes. I then hear Professor Port. "3! 2! 1! Go!" He shouted as the two then launched at us. "Ready Neo?" "Yes!" "Brain Freeze!" I yell as we both use our semblances, causing an illusion of us to be there. It seems that they remember what our semblances are as they look cautious. We then go behind them as I shoot an ice dust shot at both of them. However, they turned around in time to dodge it. the girl then readied her weapon, which was an ax, but it turned into a drum gun. She began shooting at us, causing us to run separate ways. She was aiming for me mostly, while the other was targeting Neo. I decide to let her focus on him while I focus on this girl. I then think of an idea. One that is do stupid it just might work. I collapse my umbrella, then throw it at her to distract her. She was able to quickly change her weapon to it's ax form as she swung it, knocking the umbrella out of the way. I use this opportunity to rush at her. I saw a bit of panic on her face as she swung at me. I ducked under her swing as I then swept her legs out from under her, making her fall. Then I looked to see my umbrella in the air as I caught it. "I don't know how that worked..." I said quietly to myself. I see her reach for her weapon as I step on it, kicking her away from it. I then hear her say. "You know, you're kinda cute. How about we go on a date after this?" She gave a flirting look at me. I chuckled a bit. "Sorry...but I'm taken" I aimed my umbrella at her, shooting an explosive round at her. Professor Port then announces my opponent out by aura level. I look to see that Neo actually knocked her opponent unconscious...again. "Do you have a thing for making people unconscious when you battle them?" I asked her with a small chuckle. "Hey, if it works, it works" She said with a shrug. I let out a sigh after I hear her say this. "Neo, we really need to work on your people skills"

After lecturing Neo about not knocking her opponents unconscious, I was walking in the hallway right outside our room, not really having a specific destination. I apparently wasn't paying attention, as I bumped into someone. "Ah, sorry" I quickly said as I look up to see who I bumped into. They were a lady with black hair and amber colored eyes. I recognized her as one of the students visiting from Haven. I then heard her respond. "Oh, it's no problem. Are you ok there?" She was smiling at me as she asked. "Uh, yeah, I'm fine" "That's good to hear. You seem to be a bit like your friend." "Sorry, I just had something on my mind. However, Ruby's always like that, always leaping before looking, but she's been working on fixing that" "No worries, I'm only joking" She let out a chuckle after saying this as I then looked at the time. "Oh, crap, I gotta go! See you later!" I said as I rushed to see Yang and Weiss's match. I thought I felt something touch me, but I ignored that for now, assuming it was nothing. "Bye!" I hear the other student shout. I have to find out her name soon so I can actually call her by that.

Cinder's POV

I watched as Sherbet ran off. As he did so, I placed a tiny device on his clothing. Luckily, it seemed he hadn't noticed. He won't see it because it blends in with his clothing and is very tiny, so I'm not worried. However, that tiny device will have a big effect.
