I Know I have to let go,
That i have to say goodbye.
I don't know what to tell you,
I don't know what to say ,
I just know i miss you with all my heart
more and more each day.
Your heart of gold stopped beating
Any pain you had has went away.
You closed your eyes and spread your wings
We will miss you everyday.
My heart will ache with sadness,
My eyes will fill with pain.
The tears i cry stay secret,
No one gets to see my pain.
When i feel alone at times,
I'll simply close my eyes,
I'll look back on all our memories,
and fill my mind with joy.
For you are not truly gone,
For you still remain in my mind.
My heart will always have an ache,
From the hole that's left inside.
I know that you are happy there,
I know you are not sad,
but i can't help but miss you,
and all the times we've had.
So save a drink or two for us,
We will be with you before you know it.
