I'll see who you are
i'll see your true self
don't make me look like a clown
I'll see who you are
I'll see your true self even if you don't want me
You can try and hide the past,
You can try and hide your mistakes
You can try to hide your scars and tears
but the truth won't go away.
Hiding who you are won't help a thing
You try and make me believe you're someone you're not
and for a while I will believe the words that you say
But the lies begin to unravel and the truth begins to show
You are not who you say you are
You are hiding behind a lie
You make everyone believe you are better,
That you have a heart and soul
but the truth is you're not
You're as cold as ice and a dark soul in fact.
Did you take me as a clown,
Did you think I wouldn't figure it out.
Did you take me as a clown
thinking I wouldn't notice
but I did, I seen right through your lies
I seen right through every word you said
And Now i'm no longer by your side.
