ahh kaer morhen...one of the most beautiful castles that (y/n) has ever seen. previously the castle was in ruins but now after two weeks of Steve's working...it was almost ready! and from all the people living in kaer morhen the most happy one was Vesemir.
Vesemir tried time and time again to convince Geralt, Lambert and Eskel in rebuilding the place but they always said "witchers kill not build" or something similar. when Vesemir saw the effects of one week of work he was almost brought to tears...
the Steve's at first went to gather resources and then half of them started working on the castle while the other half stayed to gather some more. after a day the group that was re-building kaer morhen went to gather resources and group that spend an extra day gathering resources replaced them. the two groups of Steve's was doing this everyday
on the other hand Jaune and (y/n) had quickly made friends with everyone in kaer morhen so much so that Jaune had actually started to go on a hunt with some of them from time to time into the nearby woods
also remember that time when (y/n) conjured a dremora? yeah Triss was very interested in his magic system and asked him if he didnt mind giving her a couple of lessons, at which he agreed and told her that he can even teach some basic spells to Ciri
the young witcher in training was skeptical at first because she wanted to be a witcher not a mage but when (y/n) told her that she can be both her eyes froze for a second and then she facepalmed herself for not thinking about that
to be fair she wont be a witcher either way because even if Vesemir still had the knowledge on how to do the "trials" for becoming a witcher she would be denied immediately.
there was never an explanation in the games but the book mentioned that there were tries of making a female witcher but every single one of the girls died...well unless...lets say (y/n) does his thing and makes a new recipe for the "trial of grasses" and the "trial of dreams" one that is significantly less painful and that has 0% of death for both female and male individuals...it would be nice wouldnt it?
that was actually something he was working on. but when he first told Vesemir he denied to try and bring back the trials. he swore that he will never kill more children in such a barbaric way...
when the knowledge of the trials has been lost he at first tried to re-make it because he assisted in them and had a vague idea on how they are done but...none of the children survived the first trial...they all either lost their mind and went berserk forcing him and the others to kill them or they simply died from the overdose of toxins in their body...
when (y/n) learned about this he quickly explained that he never wanted to test the new formula on living thing and said that he can create a non sentient homunculus that will be used as a test dummy
the homunculus is a perfect replica of a human the only difference is that their lifespan is very short. somewhere around 5-7 years
Vesemir: I-I dont know (y/n)...
(y/n): come on think about it! they are a perfect copy of a human but without feelings even if they will feel pain they it will not bother them! as for "death" they will not be sentient it will be literally a puppet without any soul
Vesemir: *sigh*...i need to think about this.
(y/n): take your time im just saying that there is a chance to bring back witchers in a safe way and without any sacrifices
the talk ended with (y/n) leaving Vesemir alone for the rest of the day and then walked to a room where he taught Ciri and Jaune Magic while Triss usually listened to his teachings
(y/n): hello! sorry for the wait!
Ciri: You are 20 minutes late!
(y/n): i know thats why i said sorry
he told her while flicking her on the forehead when passing beside her.
(y/n): okay *sits down in front of Jaune and Ciri* so today we will be learning conjuration.
Ciri: yes! so i will be able to summon a demo- a Dremora right?
(y/n): nah. the conjuration of a Dremora is a master level spell you will need more training
Ciri: but-
(y/n): remember what happened to Triss?
he asked Ciri while looking at the red haired sorceress who avoided his gaze and tried to ignore his remark as it brought back a traumatic memory from a couple of days ago
the first time (y/n) summoned a Dremora was the day when Triss started bugging him about teaching her conjuration magic from his magic system (skyrim magic system).
she first asked him what did he offer as an equal exchange for the conjuration and when he said that it was done only with magic energy her mind went blank for a second.
in the witcher world you need to give something in exchange when doing a conjuration spell sometimes it is even the lifespan of the caster. she was shocked beyond belief and started bugging him even harder to teach her
at some point (y/n) gave her the book spells from the school of conjuration and she mastered them all...IN A DAY!!!
that amount of talent is monstrous but i guess its expected from a veteran sorceress...after she mastered those spells she wanted to get one to summon a Dremora but (y/n) said that she can do it only in his presence
but of course she didnt listened and one night she almost summoned a Daedric Prince! well at least it was Sheogorath and he was in a party mood which thankfully made him more curious than angry that he was summoned
(y/n) apologized to him and send him back to oblivion with a bag of cheese as a compensation (the dude just love cheese) and then he proceeded to yell at Triss. it took a couple of hours before he was done. everyone tried to calm him as they fell a little pity for Triss who was desperately trying not to cry
it was a little funny to be honest...imagine a very talented and powerful sorceress being yelled at by a teenager while she is trying her hardest to not let the tears fall
they send Vesemir as he was the oldest and wisest of the group but not even a minute after he walked into the room where (y/n) was yelling at Triss, he exited with a pale face and just shook his head
to this day there are still trying to figure how someone can use words in such a hurtful way. well the truth is that (y/n) learned how to curse like that when he was watching Gordon Ramsay on the TV...he learned from the best...
well anyway back to the present now...
Triss: *very timidly* i said sorry...
(y/n): you just had luck that you summoned one of the "gentler" Daedric Prince if not i'm not sure if i would save you in time
Ciri: what is a Daedric Prince?
(y/n): a Dremora so powerful that it can be considered god...okay enough of that! today i will teach you how to make a "Bound dagger"
