SABREEN
It's have been three days since kaka spoke about getting us married,i have been restless since then, I can't just let her get us married to anyone. but if she insists we might end up running away I don't know where we will be going but we will just have to run ....I was cut off by a salam.
"Salamualikum!! I hear a child voice.
"Waalikumusalamu who is it?? I asked.
"It's me!! someone asked me to call sabreen;the little boy said.
"Who is it?? I asked.
"I don't know him, I was passing and he called me he then ask me to please help him call sabreen; the boy explained.
"OK just go tell him she is not aroun...I stopped ,I don't know who it is, should I go check?Kaka is not home since in the morning and nabila is at school maybe I should go check and quickly come back I thought.
"Tell him she is coming I said and smile at the boy, he nodded and quickly went out.
I went to our room to put on my long hijab,I then look at the mirror, my god my eyes look like meat it's because I have been crying yesterday, i put on my slippers and head out.
"who will be looking for me?? What if he is here because of kaka news?? maybe he was here to marry me??No I won't go out anymore, or should I go? I was contemplating I shake my head I will just go I pray and then head out to see who is looking for me.
I went out but couldn't find anyone;"well maybe I stay in too long I said and turn to leave but stop because I hear someone call my name .
"What is he doing here??I asked myself".
It's was Amir ,I never thought I would meet him again.
I just stand there looking at him and he smiled.
"I came here to check on you, how are you now? he asked .
"Fine??? It came out like a question.
"And you?? I asked what is he doing here this is not going to be good if kaka sees me with him standing here;I thought
"Am fine how is your elbow doing?? He asked.
"Elbow????? Ohhh!! It's fi...ne I am fi...ne i stammered how I wish I could tell him that I was lying and nothing was wrong with my elbow, I wish I could tell him about my condition maybe he could help me I thought.
Sabreen are you okay?? I have been talking to you but your mind is some where else? Amir stated.
"Um...Yeah I am fine nothing,I smiled.
"Where is your sister??He asked
"She is in........My eyes went wide open I bite my lip ya Allah ......
"What is wrong ??? Are you sure you are okay?? Amir asked
The thing is i just saw kaka talking to some woman.
"Na shiga uku (am dead)I scream in my mind I start walking inside but stop no what about Amir, he don't know what is wrong and kaka will see him so she will definitely know I was out here with him and I will end up getting in another trouble.
I asked Amir to open his car .
"what is wrong???He asked again but I cut him ... Just open the door I almost yell .
He opened the car door and I quickly get in with Amir following me, I ask Amir to drive he looks confused but did what I asked; when we're about to pass kaka I quickly bend down because I don't want her to see me thank god the windows were closed, immediately we passed her I look up and breath out .
"What was that? Amir asked me as soon as I asked him to stop driving.
"Oh um...It ... um.. I saw one of my friend coming and I don't want to meet her so...I lied,I was surprised how I easily lied
"Okay!!! "I thought you saw something I can't see, Amir said making me burst into laughter.
"You tho...ught I saw... a....ghost I said laughing and Amir chuckle.
"Yeah something like that he reply.
"Okay I have to go I said my laughter dying down.
"Let me drop you then he said starting the car.
"Nooooo!!!! I yell I.um have to buy some groceries I lied.
"Which shop??I will wait for you then I will drop you off he said.
Why can't he just understands I don't want kaka to see him, duh it because you didn't tell him I thought.
"No I will be fine by myself no need I reply.
Amir insists he come with me to the store, but the thing is i lied about buying groceries I don't even have money with me.
"As soon as am sure Amir left I quickly come out of the store and start walking home.
Where did you go?? kaka asked
I went to buy some groceries but I lost the money; I lied I know she will say I am careless but is better than knowing Amir was here.
"You are very careless, as expected I thought.. get out of my sight she ordered.

"How is school bila??? I asked nabila
"Fine, adda we will be starting our exams soon she said".
"Okay!! Study hard and pray then leave the rest to allah okay I said and she nod smiling.
Nabila has been acting strange lately maybe it because of school I thought looking at her sleeping , good night bila I then kiss her forehead and drift to sleep.

It's was 5:29 in the afternoon and I was home alone" nabila was in school and kaka was god knows where, I was bored I have nothing to do; I even clean the whole house to keep me busy but it's not working I am here sitting and thinking about yesterday how Amir came just to check on me since after my parents dead no one has ever care for me apart from nabila . I was sitting when I hear a knock on the door grabbing my hijab I went to check who was knocking.
What is it?? I asked the boy that was knocking .
"Someone asked me to give this to sabreen; he said passing me a bag.
"Who??? I asked.
"I don't know the boy said and left in a hurry.
I looked at the bag, and then the door .
"Who will have send this?? What is inside? What if it's a bomb?? I should probably throw it away; yes I will but am not sure if it is a bomb I said to myself, I will just check.
I went back inside and close the door, I enter our room and close the door I don't want kaka to see it, I don't know how I will start explaining.
Sitting on our bed I open the bag and I see a box inside,I open it and I was shock to see a phone,I mean a brand new phone. Who could have send me this I said out loud for my ears only.
