CHAPTER 20

SABREEN

We arrived at Abuja in the afternoon.
I was taken to my in-laws house, Haifa told me, mama and baba had organized a little dinner so I will be staying there for the night.

I entered the house and was shocked to see it was full of people,I start to get nervous when some ladies started asking if am the bride.

"Haifa take sabreen to your room, you should both pray and take take a bath, eat and you will be leaving to one of my friends house. Haifa will get you ready there, I have already sent all your things there, mama said and we both nodded.

"Ya allah wallahi am tired; I said immediately we are in Haifa's room.
Sadiya and rabi laughed because I said I was tired,I have never traveled these long.

"Okay girls let's do what mama asked us before she starts calling us, sabreen, oh I will stop calling you by your name um...i should call you...she said thinking.... oh I will call you in law.she said smiling like she just won a lottery.

"Go take a bath first; Haifa said and I nodded getting up.

After taking a bath,I pray then ate before leaving for where we will be getting ready.

After some hours, my make up was finally over, the make up artist tie a turban on my head and I put on my dress, it was a nude ball dress with some silver beads all over the dress and the dress have a full sleeve and turtle neck, it was floating a little,it was really heavy though,I put on silver jewelries and a silver heels then Haifa put the big nude trail veil on my head and a simple little crown to hold it in place,the veil was bigger than the red one I put in the morning.

"Woww!!! You look muah, Haifa commented.

"She looks like Cinderella; sadiya said.

"No that's old model, she looks just breathetaking,rabi said and I mouthed thank you to all of them.

"OK, Yaya just called they are here; let's hurry everyone is just waiting for them Haifa said and they both ran off leaving me with this heavy dress, I have to put both my hands to lift the dress a little if not I will fall down with this heels hurting my feet.

I went out still struggling with the dress,I will kill those girls for not helping me,I said to no one.

I sigh when I reach the stairs,I lift up my dress a little and start going down, praying not to fall.

I was happy I didn't fall and drop my dress down, but when I look up the person In front of me was now my husband, he looks handsome he was wearing nude shadah with babban riga, white zannah bukar  cap and cover shoe,silver links and a wristwatch.

I walked forward and spoke to him but he was lost.
He walked closer to me not leaving a little gap between us, my body tensed at his closeness.

"Masha Allah you look gorgeous, what did I do to deserve you he wispered in my ears making me blush.

Then he looked at my eyes and what he did next made me freeze.He kissed my forehead .

Immediately he did that I started seeing flashes and hearing clicks I noticed Haifa ,rabi, sadiya, Imran, Farhan and some other guys were taking photos of us and when Amir kissed my forehead.

"I never knew Yaya was this romantic; Haifa said and I blushed at her comment.

He then put his hands around my waist making me to put mine around his neck hiding my face on his chest, I was shy to the extent I don't want to see anyone's face.

"Easy lovers!!"you can continue this after but now we have people waiting; Farhan said.

I don't want to go in there;I said for the unpenth time to amir.
I was scared am not used to being around alot of people not to mention being the center of attention today,I said to myself.

"Hey it's okay am going to be by your side nothing will happen,I promise; Amir said and I nodded.

He got out and opened my door, lifting my dress a little I hop out and Amir took hold of my hands.

We enter the hall with "i can't help falling in love" playing and we walked to our sit at the front and settled.

After lot of pictures, I was tired of smiling,I even start forcing a smiles,thank god my dimples appear so it will look like i was really smiling.

The MC asked us to climb down and get to the dance floor, then immediately the light gets dark and my hold tighten on Amirs hand,he wisper it's okay to me.

Then the MC asked everyone to turn on their phone flashlights, and a soft violin started playing, Amir moves me closer to him and puts his hands around my waist and he asked me to put mine on his shoulders, when I did so he starts moving slowly moving us left and right.

By the time the music ends Amir leaned closer and whispered.

"I love you sabreen, he said.

And I put my head on his chest to hear his heart beat.
