As evening fell, I started walking down the dark and motionless street. Despite being overly creepy, it's actually remarkably safe. Nothing dodgy ever happens in this town.

I wandered into Pete's Pizza and ordered my usual: Spicy Italian on a classic 12 inch base. However, as I dug into my purse to pay, there was only a £20 note left in it. This was weird. I had just received my salary so there should be at least £50 in there.

Piper.

She probably took it.

I paid for my pizza and stormed back to the university dorm. I ran up the stairs and swung open the door. A guilty face met mine. Piper was sitting on her bed and as our eyes met she quickly glanced away at the window to an amazing view of the car park. No wonder I could never decide what to write for my coursework.

After 5 minutes of awkward silence, I finally spoke. "So did anything interesting happen today?"
"Uh no," Piper replied. "My professor yelled at me because I ate cheese in class. He gave me detention."
I fixed her with an evil glare. "Is that all?"
"Yes," she said in a panicked voice.
"Look," I said. "I know you stole my money. Why would you do that? What were you using it for? I thought we were friends!"
Piper suddenly became very interested in her feet. It just made me even more frustrated. Her face then twisted into a look of anger.
"Me? I thought you were my friend. Friends help each other out in times of financial crisis."
"Yeah but they could at least ask first."
Piper shot me a dirty look and left the room.
I merely rolled my eyes. She stole from me. How was that my fault?

Still fuming after our argument, I sat at the piano and started to compose my pieced for music coursework. It started off with regular chords but I soon realised I was too angry to write and gave up.
