Dissonance

When a baby cries in the supermarket
When a musician hits a wrong note
When a friend becomes an enemy
When someone has rocked the boat
When there's a siren in a quiet garden
When you hear a jolting scream
When you feel like you are falling
When you're awoken from a dream
There's a sense of imbalance
It's all grey- not black and white
The pieces fit together
But the image doesn't seem right
They say that it'll get better
That the balance will restore in time
So for now the only thing without dissonance-
Is my poetry that still rhymes.
