Chapter 12: Captured

Yibo is about to go to his room after going to the kitchen to drink some cold water but he noticed that Fanxing's room was still lighted up. He went to sneak a look and noticed his little brother still awake and in front of his study table, scribbling on a piece of paper. "Fanxing, are you still not done?" Yibo asked when he entered Fanxing's room. He approached him and saw his messy table, color pencils scattered around, crumpled paper almost filled his small trash can.

"I am not yet done with my drawing." Fanxing replied frustratedly. "This is so hard, I am not really good at drawing, everything looks like drawn by an elementary student."

"Fanxing, you're just an elementary student." Yibo pointed out. "It doesn't need to be perfect, as long as you do it with all your heart then your teacher will give you a high score." He told him to boost his confidence.

"I hope Zhan-ge come back home already, he's a good artist, he can help me with this."

"Is he still not home?" Yibo asked him. Fanxing shake his head.

"I asked the maid and they said he didn't arrive yet, I also sneaked inside mom's studio but he was not there." Fanxing sighed. "I've been waiting for him all this time and it's getting too late. Is university students always busy? Yibo-ge, will you also be that busy ones you entered University?" the little boy asked curiously.

"Probably." Yibo replied. He looked at the wall clock on Fanxing's room and it's already 10 in the evening but Xiao Zhan was still not home. "Fanxing, you should sleep already. I'll finish that for you."

Fanxing shrugged his shoulder and he yawned. "Okay." He stepped down on his chair and give the piece of paper to Yibo. "Please color it green and yellow." Fanxing ordered then he went back to his bed and sleep. Yibo brought Fanxing's assignment in the living room so that he can also see if Xiao Zhan is back home. The maid asked if she can go to sleep and Yibo told him to do so. An hour pass but no Xiao Zhan arrived. It's already 11:30 in the evening and he's slowly feeling sleepy but he still wanted to wait for him.

His senses became alert when the phone ring. He waited for three rings before he answers the call. "Hello?" he said shortly.

"Hello? Is this Wang Residence?" a female voice asked. "This is Xuan Lu, Xiao Zhan's friend." She introduced and he was glad to hear that he's someone he knows, besides who will call his house at that time of the night. "May I know who is this?"

"This is Yibo."

"Yibo? Oh... Yibo, did Xiao Zhan went home?" Xuan Lu asked him instantly. "Is he there? Can I talk to him? That jerk, he is supposed to meet me but I'm waiting for an hour but he didn't come. I also can't contact his phone so, it's out of reach."

"Xiao Zhan is not home yet." Yibo replied to her. "I've been waiting for him but he didn't come."

"Eh? Seriously?" Xuan Lu asked. "Then... where did he go? I didn't saw him after our class this afternoon. He said he will go somewhere first before meeting me. Did he tell you something? Like somewhere he will go and the like..."

"Nope, he didn't." Yibo answered briefly. "I'll contact you if he's home."

"Okay but I'll try to call Darren too, he might know where Xiao Zhan is but if he came home, please inform me. I'll give you my number so that you can contact me easily. I feel a little anxious but I hope he is alright and just having fun somewhere like he always do. Thank you Yibo, gonna hang up. Bye."
